Will Cobra Kai get a spin-off series? Here we know so far

End of "Cobra Kai" after six seasons It was a good move from the creators of the series, Oshosh Hale, Jonon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlsolberg, as they allowed them to finish the story of the show in their own terms. However, this also means that Netflix will be deprived of new seasons of securely pleasant karate comedy-drama that is moving forward. In other words? It is time to discuss a serious discussion about the future of the property.

With Daniel Laruso on Ralph Mechio, he teamed up with G -Din Jani of Jackkeepi Chan in the upcoming "Karate Kid: Legends" (which does not include Hale, Hurwitz or Scholesberg), the power of "Cobra Kai" is free to carry out his plans within the franchise. In an interview with a red carpet in Paleyfest 2025 with DirectlyHurwitz was able to offer an eagerly expected update for the status of potential things "Cobra Kai" to come ... And it seems that if anything, the showers are broken by choice:

"I mean, we have ahead of us in terms of what we would like to do, and we just have to deal with what our Sony and Netflix partners want to do. There are modern spin-offs that occur after the events of "Cobra Kai". There are other spin-offs that, you know, we know that the audience is rumored about what happened 100 years ago. Havee must see, you know and everything in between. We have to see what the right time and the real project is. But hopefully, there is even more to share soon. "

Franchise karate kid can go from anywhere from here, but one direction looks more likely than most

For what began as a film franchise that, sincerely, began to trample water from the third film and has yet to rethink its chops on the big screen, the "Karate Child" property really goes well after "Cobra Kai"-and Hurwitz's comments on the endless opportunities for the future. We here on /Film Certainly follow these events with interest, to the extent that our own Nick Stanifort has already compiled a useful list of The Karate Kid spins we want to see after "Cobra Kai". (Give us that series Josen, Netflix!)

However, if we follow the breadcrumbs, it seems that the most likely future show will revolve around a character who was physically absent from "Cobra Kai", but whose spirit was felt all over the world. Season 6 of "Cobra Kai" Perfectly set up spin-off for Mr. Miyagi (Originally played by Morita), to the point that she even introduced a potential starvet on the show "Young Miyagi" when Brian Takahashi briefly showed the character during the dream sequence. Cobra Kai's shotterers were also pretty open to want to do something with Miyagi, and given that the character was canonically born in 1925, Hurwitz's comment on the speculated spin-off set about a century ago was just another reference.

With all these possibilities stacked high on the table of the "Cobra Kai" trio, it seems more likely to the day when at least One spin-off is on the way. As Hurwitz said, it is likely to spend some time before we learned more - but since it seemed hope that the announcements would soon arrive, fans probably should not leave their "wax, wax" exercise routines.

Cobra Kai is now running on Netflix.
