Most trekkies will be able to tell you that the original series "Star Trek" episode "Task: Earth" was supposed to be a pilot on the back. "Task: The Earth" strongly appeared in the then new character named Gary Seven (Robert Lansing) a traveler during the 24th century. Gary Seven was discovered by the USS company's crew after returning to the 20th century for research purposes.

Kirk (William Shatner) and Spack (Leonard Nimoy) communicate briefly with Gary, but most of the episode focuses on his adventures and scientific accessories available. Gary wears a futuristic, screwdriver-like device that he calls a servo and can teleport around the Earth via a high-tech portal embedded in his office. He is accompanied by an ISIS-cat who, in a mysterious reversal of events, turns into a humanoid woman (April Tatro)-and eventually gets today's human trainer named Roberta (Terry Gar), a secretary stumbling on his fantastic cave.

At the end of his second season, the future of Star Trek was still in doubt. The letter writing campaign was the only thing he saved from cancellation, forcing the NBC to give the third season show. If Star Trek failed, however, creator Ein Birthoirs had a "task: Earth" as a spare series, all ready to go. Hence, when Star Trek was rescued, plans for TV -Shot Gary were seven. It was the last time someone heard about Gary seven, as long as (confusing) episode of (very crowded) "Star Trek: Picard" in 2022.

Of course, since Trekkies Loveube has expanded the universe, Gary seven had life outside the official Canon "Star Trek". The character appeared in numerous comics and was mentioned in several of the existing novels "Star Trek". Gary's TV series may have never been, but we got anyway.

Gary seven had a pretty interesting backstew. He was born on earth in the year 4,000 BC, but was abducted by the time traveling from foreigners who raised him in the distant world. Then, he grew up and dealt with the time of traveling bureau, earning the title of supervisor. Specifically, he was the 194 supervisor. Since Bornbury wanted to leave more research on a potential spinoff, he left the wider details of Gary's life on Star Trek. The trays have never learned how, for example, ISIS could turn from a cat into a humanoid woman.

In Romanian form, however, Gary Seven lived on. From 2001 to 2006, pocket books published three novels in the series "Eugene Wars", a trilogy by Greg Cox, at the center of Khan Nonien Singh (character Played by Ricardo Montalban in "Space Seed" and "Old Trek II: Khan's anger"). The first two books in the trilogy ("The Rise and Fall of Khan Nonien Sing" "Thomas 1 and 2) the details of Khan's life from childhood in the 20th century to the events of "Space Seed". Gary seems to be a key figure in Khan's life. According to Cox's novels, Khan was raised in the 1974 Eugenics Laboratory. The lab was to be destroyed, but Gary saved Khan and his fellow citizens, hoping to use their superior strength and intelligence to fit in a new time of earth peace. This is a pretty big deal in the "Star Trek" orb.

The connection between Khan and Gary seven became even more complicated. Khan seems too ambitious to Gary's utopian plans, feeling that he should rule the world, not to serve him. As such, he and Gary ended up alienating each other. Gary also tried to prevent Khan from encouraging eugenics wars, but failed. They have been raging for years. When the wars began to go south for Cannes, Gary was, who felt compassionate, secured Botanius Bay before retiring in the wake of the entire Kerfufl.

Gary seven was also shown in Cox's novel in 1998 "Task: Eternity", A pleasant story during the trip itself that happened immediately after the events of the "Task: Earth". Gary seems to have learned that Spack would be killed in about a century, traveled by 2269 (which is about when the Star Trek season 3 takes place) to stop the assassination parcel before it began. (Roberta was there.
