Bernard Rose's 1992 Horror Classic, Candiman, an American re -examination of Clevel Barker's story "The Forbidden" was for an ambitious graduate student named Helen (Virginia Madsen), who entered the infamous project to build Chicago. Residents seem to believe in a spiritual killer called Candiman, who will appear behind you if you say his name five times in the mirror. Helen reveals that he is shocking, that Candiman (Tony Todd) is very real. He is a retaliatory spirit of a killed black, son of a slave, killed by a white crowd after the end of the civil war. His body was set on fire at the place of green projects, and he now haunts those who call him.

"Candiman" is extremely frightening and The late Tony Todd is great in the role. It is endangered and compassionate of turns. The result of the persecution of Philip Voice is one of the most tragic in the horror films of the era, and has a whole semester of black studies below the surface of the film. Candiman was a small hit, making over $ 25 million on his $ 9 million budget, which means the sequel will have to be made in the end. In 1995 "Goodbye" is fatty and frightening, but it feels a little more as a traditional sweeter than a eerie story of ghosts. This was followed in 1999 by The extremely dreaded "Candiman 3: Day of the Dead", Film set in 2020 (!) In Los Angeles.

In 2004, Todd began talking (As is recorded by bloody disgusting. Unfortunately, the fascinating project has never happened.
Fourth Candiman will be set to a small Women's College in New England
It was in an interview with Fangoria (Reversed by MovieWeb) Todd revealed the projected budget of his version of the fourth "candy". His film was supposed to be the biggest and strongest movie "Candiman" still. The setting, according to Todd, will be updated again, and he described it:

"It is set in New England, and the original picture will be on Candiman in a flap. The story is a double identity. I can tell you that it is set to college for all girls where there is a descendant of Candiman, a professor who doesn't know who is or what Candy is."
He also said his intended film would not have an affectionate Roman number to move away from the rather disappointing "Day of the Dead". Todd said Clevel Barker would serve as an executive producer and producer of stories, although he would have nothing to do with the script. It sounds intriguing, especially if the college subject in women only was a historic black college or university. Woulde had to be a fictional college, though, as the only real life of all women, HBKKK, are the College Spelman in Atlanta, Georgiadarist and Bennett College in Greenesboro, North Carolina. A new one will need to be invented to set up Candiman #4 in New England.

Todd, according to the bloody disgusting article, also spoke with Milenko 500 in A (now deleted) interview for 2004. He confirmed in that interview that his film would be posted at Women's College in New England, but also put Kibos on rumors of another movie "Candiman". It seems that after the success of the weak Crossover Freddie Against Jason in 2003, Cli Itup Barker was approaching the monitoring of the movie "Hellraiser against Candyman". Quite deliberately, no movement was made for the project.
Unfortunately, the project was never taken
Todd said:
"I think Clive has chosen against it. He did not want any of these two characters to sell for commercial profit. He is very strongly interested in Candiman IV. That problem that takes place a lot like a lot of things in the backstage, determines who owns Candiman franchise. "

The actor noted that the project is ready to move forward. They just needed "walking" from the studio. It is clear that the advantage was not given. In A fear -of -central interview of 2009Todd noted that Deon Taylor ("Tradition", "Fatale", "Fear") is interested in directing, but it seems that it was more than a conversation between the director and the actor.
Only Todd did not talk with bloody disgusting, directly many years after the fact that more details would be revealed. Candiman seems to be a professor at the above college. He was not a spiritual spirit of revenge, but a grounded serial killer in the real world, who had trouble suppressing the impulses of murder, kind of "possessed" by Candiman. He even had to cut his hand to keep the murder of the bay. In Todd's vision:

"" Candiman "was not a curse. Or he was a curse, but ... he was not burned, he was not a scar, except what was inside. He is the embodiment and representation of people who have always been displaced. Or he wanted the wrong person at the wrong time. He was to end up as an armed man."
But he never got very far. "Snow Storm, College for Girls, Many Victims" was that Todd knew he was concrete. After a few years, people ignored it. "Candiman" did not return to The sequel to Nia Dacosta in 2021. Todd only appeared briefly there.
