"Big Bang theory" is a crazy profitable franchise for CBS, causing 12 seasons and 2 spin-off shows ("Young Sheldon", "The first marriage of Georgi and Mandy") in this process. But as is the case with most stories of cable television success, her fate lies on the reception of her pilot episode. You need a good hook that can attract viewers to want to spend time laughing with these characters every week. The creators of the series Jacques Lor and Bill Pradi had some of the real elements for the first pilot of the show, but there was no way "Big Bang theory" would have gathered his legacy if he was broadcast.

There were a number of bizarre elections in that unstable pilot, As determined by /film Nina StarnerIt signals a very different kind of sitcom than the one we finished. Among one of the most significant changes is that of female leadership. Before Kaili Cuoco was brought to the board as a penny, the sweet intermediate -ways actress from the entire hall, the role was originally tested with Amanda Walsh as Katie, a smooth cosmetics salesman with a sardon edge.
Problems Less Lies with Walsh's performanceWhat could work if he operated on Sitkom with a fierce bent on him, but the character himself. Katie's abrasiveness caused the audience not only to strive for the innocence of Sheldon (Jimim Parsons) and Leonard (Nyoni Galecki), but it is a pretty killed interest in the show's prospects.

What is even attractive about Walsh's character is that Katie was fun enough, originally named Penny, but the higher windows in CBS opposed.
Another CBS pilot had a character named Penny
In an excerpt from the story of the story, "Big Bang theory: Definitive, Inside the Story of the Epic Hit Series", author Esessica Radlock reveals that Penny was always a first -name choice for women's lead until CBS informed them that it would be a conflict of interest (through Hollywood reporter):

"The character's name was initially Penny (" Sheldon and Leonard meet this woman on the street; she is a happy penny, "explains Pradi), but at the time, CBS had another pilot in a quarrel with a character, called Penny and asked Lore and Prased to change it. They committed themselves.
After some digging, I couldn't really point out which pilot CBS referred to that name, indicating that in which the series eventually had a greater cultural impact.
It is not very fair to judge someone based on their name, but in the context of the unstable Big Bang pilot, Penny does not fit exactly this character as written outside of Pradi's trash. Katie is more appropriate to the unusual Walsh's performance. Penny, however, fits more significantly with Cuoco, whose bubble person makes the overall presence of eruges. No wonder the name changed when the character was strongly cold again for the pilot that made him broadcast.

Sheldon saying that Katie had the same ring next to her. There is an alternative universe in which Walsh got a second chance to play a penny as a more light way that launched Cuoko to Stardom, But it is the unfair nature of Hollywood. Fortunately, Walsh has no difficult feelings for experience.
Every episode of "Big Bang theory" is currently moving to Max.
