During its 50-year race, Saturday Night Live launched a pad for some of the most beloved comedy actors and actresses in history. Fans often debate which SNL decade was the best, but it can be argued that the 90s had some of the funniest sketches in the history of the show, introducing audiences with updated and companions that would become some of the biggest names in the comedy. One of those young stars was none other than Adam Sandler.

After making his 1989 film debut, Adam Sandler performed a stand-up comedy in the clubs. One of his performances in Los Angeles, the presence of the SNL cast, Dennis Miller, attended. Impressed by Sandler's material, Miller recommended Lorn Michaels, leading to Sandler's work in the 1990 SNL writers and was eventually promoted to a represented player in the cast. In addition to his co-Starswald Chris Charley, Tim Meadows, Rob Schneider, David Spade and Chris Rock, Sandler was considered one of the "bad boys of SNL", they all often collaborated after their SNL term.
