Following are spoilers for Lazar.
Shinichir Watanabe is anime-authors, best known for directing 26-episodes Western "cowboy bebop". The legacy of that show has colored his career over only people who remember it as one of the best anime ever. Vatanabe's later projects sometimes felt in response or evolution of "Bebop". (His sci-fi music drama "Carol and Tuesday" is set to the same tered Mars Mars that Bebop has often visited.)

The same can definitely be said about Vatanabe's latest directorial project: "Lazar". The series, animated in the Studio Map ("Titan's attack", "Jujutsu Kaisen") and produced by Sola Entertainment, is a 13 episodic sci-fi thriller. Set in 2055 - similar to "bebop", this future is in our lives - the essence of the show is a miracle painkillers, Hapna.
Her inventor, Dr. Skinner, announces that the drug is designed to mutate after three years and soon Hapna will kill everyone who took it. That means everyone in the world, or at least enough people who can be too. Skinner has disappeared, so a workforce from five people, Lazar, is collected by a group of criminals and secret agents: chronic prison escape Axel, Comprehensive Doug, Female Fatala Christine, Naiva Leland and master Hacker Eainina. Their mission is to locate Skinner in 30 days, before Hapna's deadly effects begin to hit and deliver his promise.

The crumples that have turned like secret agents apparently call for mind "Suicide Squad" (which recently received anime treatment)Or even "Charlie's angels". But if there is a lesson learned from "Cowboy White", it is that you cannot overcome your past. Here I compare "Lazar" with "Bebop", but only because the play invites the comparison. Marketing Lazar has hardly relyed on the cowboy bell. One poster "Lazar", showing close characters in one color, even a mirror known to "cowboy bebop":
Lazar will also have its American escape to adult swimming, the channel that made the cowboy bebop in the favorite for thousands of anime fans growing in the United States
Adult swimming shared the top five episodes of "Lazar" with /film. Watanabe said five episodes are enough for the viewer to judge a TV show (hence Why did he make a "baby" episode 5, "Ballad of Fallen Angels", such a slam dunk). Do Lazar's introductory five episodes live by their director's name?
