Michael Shanks had a secret second role in Stargate SG-1

This post contains spoilers for "Stargat SG-1".

The "Stargate SG-1" crew is incomplete without Dr. Daniel Acksecson at Michael Hanks. I mean, this was clear when Shanks left the series after his fifth season after his face was killed abruptly. Dr -Acksexon is not just a brilliant polymat but Basic part of ORUBOVA "Stargat"Since it is why the intergalactic journey through Stargati is possible. In addition, Dr. Acksecson shares a deep, time-tested connection with Colonel Jackec O. Neil (Richard Dean Anderson), reliable leader of the crew "SG-1" whose presence is an integral part of what the Sefi series stands for. Daniel has suffered many trials on Shanks, from being killed several times to alternating realities until the experience of Ascension And firing at the same time.

Given the versatility of the Shanks, he often played secondary characters in Stargat SG-1 just for it. For example, he embodied Mahello, the older man of Dedred, who lived under the tyrannical rule of Goald from a child. A strong desire for independence shapes the prospects of Machelo, who have turned into a rebellion against the terrible systems of lords that have long subordinate their people. The Shanks inserts this character with hidden, though worldwide, and portrays it as someone who inadvertently wants what belongs to others for his difficult childhood. At one point, Dr. Acksecson and Machelo communicate (!), With former bodies with temporary exchange with the latter. In addition, the actor also played alternative/simulated versions of Goald on his face in some arcs.

But there are more! Shanks expressed a prominent character in the series that does not look like it. I'm talking about the Asgardian Thor, the Supreme Commander of the Asgard fleet and a dear friend of the country.

Michael Shanks expressed Thor, incredibly cool character of Stargate SG-1

As a refresher, Thor first appeared in the sixth episode of the second season, titled "Thor's carriage", in which SG-1 learns of the true nature of Asgard (an ancient humanoid race with intensified intellect). A short story, Thor seems to be saving the enslaved people of Zimmeria in this episode, who were tormented by the feared Lord Hurricle (Douglas Arthurs) system. This is a pretty interesting episode, as part of the SG-1 crew (including Dr. Acksecson), complete a series of tests set by Thor to prove their courage and selflessness in front of the arguments. From Thor's intervention in Zimmeria, he and the SG-1 crew were in friendly terms, contributing to the cause of the country on several occasions.

When the country becomes the target for the relentless Goald, Thor comes in the intermediation clutch Summit with the lord systemAdding Earth to the Protected Planet Agreement Asgard (which legally prevents planetary invasions). While this helps to avoid the crisis only for a short time, we must give Thor credit to look for the interests of the country and do everything we could in official capacity. Part of his faithfulness can be better understanding through his warm friendship with Colonel O. Neil, whom Thor considers the emblem of mankind's greatest potential. At one point, Thor almost dies while preventing a techno-insect invasion of the earth, proving that this loyalty lasts deep, even at the cost of his own life. The Colonel, of course, also gave his role whenever Thor's people were part of a crisis, helping the good supreme commander with the full power of the SG-1 crew.

By the end of the "Stargate SG-1", Thor did not exceed the crew due to the inevitable genetic degradation of his race, choosing to die at his home of his will. While this is really sad, Thor will always be remembered as one of the greatest of all time and the true ally of the country and the Stargat command.
