Season 1 of the "Office" is not the strongest point of the show. (In fact, ours /Film team last ranked season 1 dead Of all the nine seasons of the show, it includes the pointless season 8.) Here's something, however. When the episode was originally filmed, Adams was not actually in the room. While she had audition and was the first choice for more people (including episodes writer and actress Kelly Kapoor, Mindy Kaling), Adams was originally neglected for one key reason: she looked too much like actress Pam Bisley, Enena Fisher.

In an episode of the "Office Ladies" podcasts that aired in late 2024, Fisher and her co-host Angela Kinse Extra-long version of the superfan episode. In the process, Fisher explained (through People):

"But there was this concern that Amy and I looked too similar. I guess one of the writers even said," Sorry. We can't throw it away. She's like Enena 2.0. "And so they got cold legs and threw someone else."

That "someone else" was not just thrown, she spent the whole day at the set by filming Katie. It wasn't until this, the powers that were in Ann -Bi -she decided she was wrong for the role. They released her, brought her to Adams, and the rest was history.

While Amy Adam's Katie is not usually the first name to appear in the "Office", she actually played a repetitive and important role in the earliest days of the show. After the introduction of Katie to close the uncertain and road season 1, the character was kept in the area, entering the stronger and more story before season 2. She played a particularly important role in the development of Jimim Halpert on Johnon Krasinski in his beloved, mop-headed heart attack.

While she feels like regular - and is called Jimim's girlfriend in the season - she technically appears only twice.
