It was another dark weekend at the box office, and even a few Chinese legends could not help raise the tide. Robert de Niro may be one of the biggest actors everBut he is no longer an automatic movie star "Butts of the Seat". The audience is highly dependent on the film in which it is located. So, although he plays double roles in director Barry Levinson "Alto Knights", the drama of the crowd on the screen was not interesting enough for De Niro against De Niro Hook to work so much.

Welcoming Warner Bros., Alto Knights opened only $ 3.1 million at home this weekend, landing on the number six on the charts and making a catastrophic start. The film reportedly brings a $ 50m budget to marketing costs and mobile movies tend to have limited attraction abroad, so things don't look good as long as the long -term outlook. This may not even be fully accused of competition, nor as it Disney's Snow White Live "Snow White" mainly disappointed with a $ 43 million debut.

Levinson's latest centers of two of the most notorious heads of organized crime in Newoufor, Frank Kostelo (De Niro) and Vito Genenova (De Niro), who both fight to control the city's streets. So what went wrong here? Well, for beginners, in the current climate, it is difficult to extract audiences for a non -franchise film, regardless of the case. But films that tend to break through and do significant business activities are either a) made for such a low budget that the bar for success descends significantly, or b) become so critical and favorite of the audience that the word from the mouth carries weight. None of those things happened here.

The team of De Niro and Levinson was largely omitted by critics, with the audience mostly reducing him. /Chris Evangelist gave the film "Alto Knights" 5 out of 10 overviewCalling it "a movie about mobile phones that makes Mob Life look absolutely boring." Reviews such as they will not exactly help to extract potential ticket buyers from the couch. This is, at best, it will be a movie "Wait for a Stream" for the vast majority of people.

This non -impressive opening adds to what is shaped to be a rough year for Bros. at Warner at the box office in 2025. The studio has already engulfed Disappointment of Mickey 17, expected to lose as much as $ 80 million. That film had a $ 118 million budget and made just $ 100 million worldwide after three weekends. And, on the whole, ticket sales decreased this year compared to the same point in 2024, with a total behind 2023.
