In the episode "Old Trek: Next Generation" "Enemy" (November 6, 1989), the company is investigating the broken Romulan Brod on a radioactive, planet with a storm called Gallordon Cor. Several members of the companies' crew are able to descend and rescue a Romulan survivor, but the storm and radiation prevent everyone from returning. Geordi (Levar Burton) is left behind, as is the second survivor of Romulan named Bahnon (Johnon Snyder). At first, the injured Bahra claims proud of his hostage, but Ordordi explains that the radiation will soon make them sick and that it would be wiser to work together to escape.

Most of the "enemy" is dedicated to their rescue. In orbit, Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) should make some smart negotiations with Romulan's commander (Andrea Katsus), while Ordordi and Bahra find ways to survive below. That's fine episode.

However, it seems to have been much more interesting. In the original draft of the script (credited to writers David Kemper and Michael Piller), both Ordordi and Councilor Troy (Marina Syrtis) were supposed to be trapped at Gallordon Corn with Bahra. The idea was that the radiation was mixed in the Ordordi viewfinder, making it blind, leaving (mysteriously British) Dejana Troy to command the mission. Not only that, but also usually gathered and emotionally in touch, there were should have been a scene to combat Badas, where he would disable Bahra. Unfortunately, through the usual writing process, Troy's part was reduced, and Ordordi and Bahra were left alone.

In the book of oral history "Fifty -year -old mission: The next 25 years: From the next generation to Jey Abrams", " Edited by Mark A. Altman and Edward Gross expressed disappointment that her character is an ax of the "enemy". The actress admitted she was looking forward to a butt.

We should remember that Troy was not given often stories of "old Trek: the next generation". She usually served as a consultant and personal therapist of Captain Picardand offers a compassionate view during staff meetings. It is a pity that Troy rarely had the chance to be a supra dipat in desperate circumstances, as her empathetic abilities would certainly help her during touch negotiations. At the very least, Troy could appear in an epilogue to each episode, looking for other characters who could learn that day.

The changes in the script of this nature were obviously common to Star Trek: The Next Generation, with high surnames at the last minute involved all the time. Troy had a chance to act in an episode in command capacity - and she had to throw a blow - but it was all nicknamed for one reason or another.
