In the episode "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" "The Smaginent Ferengi" (December 29, 1997), Quark (Armin Fimerman), one of the best characters of the franchiseHe learns that his mother Ishka (Cecili Adams) is captured by the evil domination. At first, Quark wants to collect a team of commandos of the Ferengi crack, consisting of his brother Roma (Max Grodencik), his nephew Nogon (Aaron Eisenberg), his cousin Gaila (Oshosha Pais) and a fighter named after him. Instead, he organizes a meeting of the abandoned Cartasia Space Station, called Empok, nor where, with a prisoner in Whirlpool, he will negotiate an exchange of prisoners, using his strong sense of making a deal with Ferenga.

Empok, nor a quark meets General Whirlpool named Elgrun, creep with smooth thinking with every intention to listen to the terms of the exchange quark. Elgrun, perhaps surprising, is played by Higi Pop, the famous punk -rocker and frontman for Stouges. Pop, of course, has already used the impressive acting biography before Star Trek, but surprisingly, he would agree to play a role in such a notorious franchise. Before "Deep Space Nine", Pop was played by Randy Belvedere Rickets in Johnon Waters's "Cry-Baby", a criminal named Rat Face in "Tank Girl" and Western criminal in a "dead man" dress by Jimim Armus. He was also in five episodes of "The Adventures of Pete and Pitt", and in the film for revenge for the science "Crow: City of Angels". He was not alien to strange genres, and he certainly developed his chops as an actor.

But it was strange (and exciting) to see the Stententian pop icon in the big whirlpool ears talking to a bunch of Ferenga on "deep space nine". He immediately joined the new Star Trek Starwalks Pantheon.

Higi Pop played a whirlwind named Elgrun on the deep space nine

Ferenga is usually treated as comics to facilitate Deep Space Nine. They are crazy, intelligent and unscrupulous, but are also presented as not endangering, and sometimes unclean. Pop, the kind of large rocky figures, perfectly matches Ferenga, capable of bringing energy to winking his face. Vorta is usually considered hungry for power and ready to kill whoever needs to win the fight, but they also come across egoistic, perhaps too confident in their own good. Higi Pop understood that about his character and played the part to most of his abilities.

Pop appeared on "Deep Space Nine" because the show, Ira Steven Behr, was a huge fan. He was after a pop for years to play the role of "Star Trek", and, according to Terry J. Erdman and Paula M. Block "The Single Path: Deep Space Nine Companion", "" He even wrote a role specifically for him in the episode "Spent, Part II". Pop was supposed to play the 21st century with a hunger named Grady. He was unable to take over the role, however, as he was busy touring Spain.

Three years later, something very unfortunate happened for the pop, which was actually very lucky for the Behr. The singer suffered a slight shoulder injury in the accident and had to take some time out of the tour to recover. During the recovery period, the pop was mobile enough to act, and Behr entered it into "deep space nine", while he could still. "For Higi," Behr was quoted, "I wouldn't have been rejected." Pop was also dedicated to the role! He had no ordinary case, but played a big role throughout the second half of his episode.

Behr had concerns about Higi Pop

"Beautiful Ferengi" (After declaring Ferengi's best episode of "DS9" by /film) was co-written by the BEHR and the longtime member of the Deep Space Nine staff, Hans Bemler, and Bemler remembers how Stoke Behr was to provide POP services:

"IRA was thrilled! He was crying for loudly, Higi Pop has been hero for years. I heard about Higi Pop because I knew him. I've seen Higi pop posters in his home. What can I say? The man was in the sky."

The Behr, however, admitted that he was in a shiver shot when it comes to casting Higi Pop as a swirl. He was worried that Pop, usually a very big artist, would have to be calm and restrained. He also knew that he appeared only in a set due to injury and was sensitive to the physical struggles he could pass. Behr said:

"I knew that the role would be difficult for Higi, because he is a very kinetic artist.

Wejun is the central character of the Deep Space Nine, and plays the versatile Effe Combs, and is not a small compliment to be compared to effe Combs. Not coincidentally, Combs also appeared in the "Beautiful Ferengi", playing Ferenga's character named Brunt. Perhaps Pop received some tips from his co-star.
