Season 2 season does not know what to do with this main character

This article contains large spoilers For the "season" season 2 Episode 8, "Sweet Vitriol".

So, harmony Cobbel (Patricia Arquette) got his own "Chici Bardo" - and yet, it did nothing. In fact, it can be argued that the "sweet vitriol" makes it a serious disorder, especially since its episode is emitted immediately after Severance's most disturbing episode in season 2 It was equally in the center of character with its focus on Gema (Dichen Lachman) and packaged so full of discoveries that revealed a bizarre ultimate game of lumin in full.

"The strict leader of Cobbel with more cultural encouragations and nasty behavior in the real world" Statk Tripped the mind of the "season" season 2However, it is really falling on the road, so it makes sense that the show is trying to define its place in the story. Unfortunately, "Sweet Vitriol" fails in this task. The big discovery at the end of Cobbu's trip in Salt's neck is that she was the original engineer of the various procedures for cutting off Lumon and seems to be ready to join forces with Mark and others to return to Lumon. The thing is, this does a little bit to revitalize the character.

Why should the audience take care of, who raised the heavy lifting with the diverse aspects of Lumon's corporate hell? After all, "Severance" made it clear that the issue in the center of the show was "Why is Lumon doing all this?" And not "How did Lumon create the tools for making this?" However, it is just one part of the character's problems after "sweet vitriol" - in fact, the episode can inadvertently reveal that "separation" has made this former key character near.

Now, Cobel has trouble fit

Where the "Sweet Vitriol" makes Excel is presenting Lumon as a malicious business entity in the real life that imposes its cult on Kier's workers ... while happily stealing credit for their work and turning to their backs after the profit margins and the factories descend. This adds welcome tangible to the secret megacorporation, which the play is so often depicted with strange labyrinths of the corridor and mysterious practices. Unfortunately, the episode clearly states that none of the pieces of the narrative puzzle is more in the form of cobbled.

Cobbel is a cut figure on the floor, but Seth Milcik (Tramel Tilman) is far more attractive in this role even before taking over the work of the director. As for her activities as a malicious figure that works between injections and aside, the Holou of the accident has handed that role to Heley, Jelena Egan (Brit Lower) on a silver plate, with characters like M -Drammond of ólafur Darri ólafsson. As for the apparent new role of Cobbel as an enemy expert on cutting off/reintegration, Rejabi (Karen Aldridge) already wears those shoes and wears them well.

Of course, this is still a "cut", so it is quite possible that the show eventually has a whole new role for Cobbel that puts its front and center in all things in an unprecedented way. However, you expect to notice hints about this in an episode that characterizes it as the only focal point, but after "Sweet Vitriol", it is very difficult to see where it can go from here or how it can be saved. As it stands, continuing to force this character on us without a clear idea of where it fits into the narrative, it seems to be uncharacteristically the wrong step of the show that is known for considering every scene.
