While Stargate Atlantis ran for five seasons, they were still to tell the exciting stories. The series finals (which is also the 100th episode of the show)-a "enemy of the gate"-a decisive battle between the constantly deceased Wright and the Atlantis crew. Here, the stakes are as high as they can be obtained, by bringing the earth to the earth, just for things to lock the promising, glorious note. When this 100th episode "Stargate Atlantis" was aired, it was followed by a short trailer for Stargate Universe in 2009, which was scheduled to be the next big addition to the Starghat franchise at the time. Unfortunately, tonal unusual (and more expensive) "The Stargate Universe could barely make the past two seasonseventually ending with Clifancher with no Official Resolution to date.

After Atlantis' crew saved the day in the final in the series, they are seen on Earth (San Francisco, to be accurate), a planet whose future looks gloomy and unpredictable. Opportunities for the introduction of a dramatic conflict at this point were infinite, from a new intergalactic threat to the famous characters who are forced to rethink what they know about the galaxy in general. To continue this saga, the writer and executive producer Josephosef Maloci initially decided to continue the final of the series with or a) two -part episode that will set a potential season 6 or b) a standalone film with DVD, entitled "Stargate: Extinction" if the series canceled. Unfortunately, no scenario happened.

With Abrupt cancellation of "Stargat Atlantis", Dreams of expanding the story out of the Cathedral Final of Season 5 were destroyed. As for the intended sequel film, "Stargat: Extermination", it was abolished due to budget concerns after writing the script. Director and producer Andy Mikita (who also rudder a few episodes of Stargate SG-1, Stargat Atlantis and Stargate Universe) was scheduled to direct Stargate: Extinction after Malozi co-wrote the script with Paul Muli. Although the creative team was pumped to bring this story to life, concerns about the escalation budget and the declining interest in titles directly to DVD has led the project to be permanently saved. Similarly, while Starghate was still growing as a scientific franchise at the time, her posture over the genre began to descend, even as loyal fans accumulated for more stories that got over our Milky Way.

According to Maloci, the Atlantis crew should never have left on Earth, and their journey back to the eponymous underwater city would develop in a great survival test:

"Atlantis will go back to the Pegasus, and on the road, they end up experiencing engine problems. And they end up stuck between the Pegasus and the Milky Way in another galaxy. And they end up discovering a source of energy coming from the world (...) and finally the story that ends with what it will be, where it will be.

The closer view of the partial script reveals that "Stargate: Exterption" could potentially open with General Jackec O'Neal (from "Stargat SG-1") to be and crowded before Colonel Johnon Sheppard (Flo Flanigan) Visit to the area 51 (Where is the Wright by the name of Todd). This, in turn, would cause a series of events showing the crew's efforts to return to the Pegasus galaxy, which would be prevented after being stuck in the middle of nowhere. SomehowThis will then lead to bars during space and arrival of alternative versions of celebrities, placing the scene for the time frames in Stargat Universe. Malozi also claims that this film would have a solid bow for Todd Wright, as the film was to present a collision between two different versions of the character and reviewed our perception of Todd We Know.

But there is still hope. Amazon gained MGM as early as 2022Thus, there may be a teenager little chance for Starghat to continue his stopped or abandoned stories in the near future. Whether we get something similar to "Stargate: Extinction" or not, every story ready to expand to such rich, widespread scientific sciences will be full of promise.
