Surprisingly, Holly has never had to become a big part of Michael's Love -Board. Instead, it was supposed to be more than a one -year miracle. To the office ladies podcast (who has become The source for all the stories behind the scenes for the show), Actors of Pam and Angela, Enena Fischer and Angela Kinsey, interviewed Holly -Actress Amy Ryan for the episode Business Ethics with Amy Ryan.

In the conversation, they found that Ryan's agent approached the show at the same time that she had expressed interest in joining the cast. . In his own words:

"I don't remember reading a script. I remember hearing that it was just an episode and a potential loveee, which obviously I knew it was a code for "we'll see how you do, kid, if we go back".

It is clear that there was no more seasonal plan. Holly's initial role was more than the radiation of light in the apocalyptic, post-January Lovebed Landscape of Michael. But it ended much more.

Holly needs less than one episode to transform Michael's negative view of HR and his staff. However, it seems that her initial role is to do something more than to prove that someone there could love Michael Scott in a romantic sense. "I remember, and because I was a big fan of the British series, David finally gets a woman who loves him. So it was loosely based, I think, for her for the first episode, and then our group took her to a different level."

That "different level" was an unusual Loveboy story for centuries. Holly returns to season 5 for a few episodes before David Wallace catches her and Michael's flowering romance sends her back to ours.
