Jackec Reacher's appeal lies in its simplicity. Here's a man who is stronger than you, smarter than you, look better than you. Here's a man without any disturbances that make your life difficult, a man literally tied to nothing, a man carved by pure American mythology that claims every corner of the political spectrum. And most importantly, here's a man who uses his seemingly superhuman abilities to correct the mistakes of foreigners while traveling to the country in ambiguity, stumbling upon a situation where little righteous justice can protect the painful community. Jackec Reacher is not just a fantasy of power - he is the Power Fantasy, an American riff of the unstoppable heroes of the ancient myth, a figure whose only concern makes the right thing, even when you do the right thing involves a dozen broken hands and a folded neck or two.

Author Lee Deta understood the powerful, basic attraction of Jackack Ricer when he created him nearly 30 years ago. And when Prime Video's "Reacher" debuted, it was clear that the character was in the hands of team writers and directors who understood that attraction. However, The second season of the show was regressionA stunning step back in the quality that was as confusing as it was.

Thus, the third season of "Reacher" arrives with something to prove. It should be as good as the first season. It should reduce the sins of the second season. It should be proven that, like the image of the title, this series can absorb a penalty and return. Fortunately, the new season is not just a bounce: it's a high watermark for the series so far - a violent, funny, strangely charming muscle spectacle and measure and sardonic comedy. It is also sexy. "Reacher" is not just back - it is back with revenge.

Based on the "persuader", The seventh (and the best) novel in the seriesSeason 3 finds Reacher (Alan Richson) captured at Maine Castle owned by a dangerous businessman (Anthony Michael Hall) with dark motivations and a small army of armed guards. It can be said with certainty that it is impossible to imagine someone else in the role.

If part of Jackec Reeker's attractiveness is that he cannot and will never change, depends on the support of the cast around him, because he fundamentally changes the shape of their world with simple existence. While there are many relentless villains waiting to destroy the skulls throughout the season, Anthony Michael Hall offers a surprising pathos as the least bad for the group, DOSOFUS above his head and does not know how to love his son. It is a kind of role that could have occurred, but Hall brings true shades of mankind to the opposition of Reacher, giving our leading man a real reason to move a little more carefully in the search to break every neck that stands in his way. Nyonio Berchtold, as the aforementioned son, provides a beautiful Reacher foil, especially since Reacher himself begins to be interested in this Dork without the spine.

However, the real secret weapon of the season is Sonja Cassidi as Duffy, an agent of DEA whose personal vendor is intertwined with Reacher's. Quite unimpressed by "muscle", she is forced to bring her into her mission, her stupidity attitude and the Boston accent that fill the premises provide the perfect counterbalance to Richson's laconic energy. It is a time bomb, but it is a machine gun. She doesn't like it until she does it, and it's kind of vibrant dynamics that retains the character as stoic as "Reacher Fresh". Future allies in the future seasons can and should use the performance of Cassids as a leading light.

As an action show, "Reacher" returns to a more contained, visceral, personal violence that has made the season 1 feel so brutal alive. Disadvantages of Season 2 firearms are gone, and the show wisely builds its actions around the simple pleasure of looking at someone as beef, as Alan Richson is tearing down and breaking through the whole team of the bad. Like the original novels, the basic complaint of the show comes down to "What if we organized the funniest violence that could be imagined, but we treated how to shoot something real and tactical?" The result is like watching Michael Mann try to shoot Arnold Schwarzenegger's "commando", and I think just as a compliment.

There is joy for the new Reacher season that is addictive. Since this is a hero that exists so powerful outside the rule of law, and whose motivations are so clear and whose mission is one of such pure righteousness, we are allowed, encouraged even, to fight Holler during every funny crescent of action. And, even when he is not on a murderous fever, Richson's Reacher remains a remarkable visual effect: watch it as a scale on the side of the seasonal premiere in a continuous footage and remind yourself of why we are attracted to action heroes to get started. This is a show that made his leading man in the form of brickids from Brickid, a house for our pleasure.

I heard "Reacher" described as "Daddy Show", much as I heard Lee's novels, fired like "Airport Reads". But it ignores the amount of craft and skill necessary to create a clean entertainment and how much talent is needed to allow us to get completely and completely lost in something built to deliver pure good time. When it comes to television that exists to activate brain pleasure sensors, you just can't find a better option than Reacher. Of course, stumbled the last time around, but Oh man. If only all the returns were this sweet.
