"Cobra Kai" is a lot of things. It is a fantastic sequel to the original "Karate Child", which shows how the last match of the 1984 karate tournament, still haunted Daniel Laruso and Nyoni Lawrence 40 years later, as he has been trying to renew his life after decades. It is also a great restart of the franchise, with a new generation of children with their own stories, rivals, successes and a lot of karate tournament.

However, this is a hereditary sequel, and like most hereditary extensions, Cobra Kai is at least something like a pseudo-rake of its source of material, but with a few changes. Here, instead of Daniel persuading the old Miyagi to get out of retirement and agree to train the child to defend himself from thugs and fight for a tournament, Miguel Diaz persuades Johnoni to retire and train the child to defend himself from thugs and fights the tournament while wearing Cobra Kai - Making Johnoni Good Man Barney Stinson on "How I Meet Your Mother" always knew she was.

The final episodes of "Cobra Kai" do two things very clear about the "Karate Child" property. First, the second part of the last season confirmed that Terry Silver was a big bad franchise. Now, the third part of the Season 6 confirms that the story has always been about the fight for the soul of Cobra Kai. Nyoni was forced to separate from the old dojo and open Eagle in season 3, and since then he tried to return the dojo, he fought so hard to run and turn into a place people actually want.

But it wasn't just Johnoni to literally get a dojo (as in the physical trade space he rented for it), but also cleaning up the reputation of the dojo. Nyoni had to fight his own training of Cobra Kai at the time, slowly being demonstrated from toxic traits, prejudices and around the 80's. By the time of the last season of Cobra Kai, Johnoni had grown a lot. Moving to Netflix can change one guy, as you can for inubes, reconnect with your alienated son, allowing bygones to be hacked with your old high school rival, starting to work with it, to merge them with Your dojos, to become friends with the aforementioned rival and learning to be able to forgive your former mentor who has betrayed you and let it get into the yacht to take off the great bad man.

Speaking of what, before Cres decides to officially "retire" (and before he blows himself and settle), he gives Nyoni one last gift - Cobra Kai himself. With zero the chance to beat the iron dragons of silver in Samai Taikai, Nyoni takes Miguel, his first student and both led Cobra Kai in a new era. This is what "Cobra Kai" built all together: the titular dojo not only returns to the world stage, but he did it forever. Nyoni had to take control of the place he called at home as a teenager, to lose his terrible sense, and then join his former rival to learn balance before Cobra Kai can really change from his violent, toxic past.

After proving to everyone that this is a different, stronger johnoni, one capable of using both defense and insult to conquer Sei Taikai for his dojo, he brings the same lessons to a new and improved Cobra Kai. Dojo has so many fans that there are lines of people waiting to register outside their trading space and Nyoni has appointed Stingrey himself to lead a weekend for a second weekend. Silver's dreams of expanding Cobra Kai come true, but not almost the way it hoped.

This is not Cobra Kai for killers and athletes on starves. Instead, it's a dojo for everyone, for children of all ages and all sizes. The old mantra Cobra Kai is still on the wall, but the meaning of the strike first, strike hard, does not change mercy. This is not about being a bully, but not to let the world take a stroll over you. Nyoni admits that he has helped turn a bunch of attacks into fighters, but he also fully admits that you need balance to succeed. Students have now split their time between Cobra Kai's learning misdemeanor and then defense from Daniel and Miyagi-Do. Well, it's not clear whether they pay one membership or what, but it's a new day for Cobra Kai.

This is the culmination of six seasons growth of Johnoni and Daniel. Both now realize that neither their upbringing nor their teachers were perfect, but they have become their job to take the good of those lessons and convey them, I hope they will help their students become better than them.
