This article contains spoilers For the "North" season 2 Episode 4, "Holow of Hard".
Lumon industries is not good, right? Severance wants to play the mysteries of the corporation near the chest, just revealing the very top of the dreadful iceberg when it must. However, what is the Apple TV+ mystery show There are Discovered for the real purpose of the company so far is nothing less than cooling, and "Hollow's Hollow 'does not make it easier for the viewer's spirit.
The episode expands the mythology of the show in a large number of nasty and characteristically covert way, some of which are seen through the eyes of the increasingly unbalanced Irving (Johnon Thururo). After effectively breaking ties with the rest of the macro refining team during their withdrawal of team building outdoors, the formerly trusted drone was walking in the woods to give Mr. Milcik (Tramel Tilman) a piece of his mind. Unfortunately, Irving loses its way and is forced to sleep rough in the dark forest.
Here, he is experiencing a vision of dreams that is right there with the most uneven sights of "separation" so far. It shows the personification of WOE-one from the "Four Humores" series with the mandate of the series-working at the macrodati refining workstation in the middle of the forest. When Irving explores closer, he sees a screen with numbers dancing and forming eerie patterns reminiscent of the eye. The small text is: "Montauk 3% finished". The dream ends with a predictable but effective intimidation of the jump by the unfortunate lady, but the aforementioned text reveals is Real Opilop.
Let's look at the Montauk project and what this old conspiracy theory for Separas may mean.
Montauk is the clearest reference to the show theory of the show
The most likely culprit behind Montauk's reference to Neeverans is already familiar with dedicated Stranger Things fans of Netflix. The Duffer Brothers Science Show was Inspired by a nasty, allegedly real experiment called Montauk ProjectTo the extent that the series work of the series was Montauk. The word refers to the alleged top secret US military project, which took place at the Montauk Air Force Station or at the Long Island Hero's camp, Newouper. The Montauk project allegedly included the biggest hits of government -related conspiracy theories, the time to control travel and control of the mind to teleportation and foreigners.
The varied theory of Montauk's diverse antiquity brings significant similarities to the Philadelphia experiment, the 1940s US Navy conspiracy theory, which inspired the episode of the "X-Data" in season 2 "DAD KALM." This alleged incident during the trip was also subject to the science thriller in 1984 "Philadelphia Experiment", among many other pop culture allusions.
Knowing Montauk's history, the way Hollow's Hollow is lowering its name into one of the most appropriate episode scenes, it is unlikely to be accidental. Montauk brings a lot of weight in the pop culture-in the collaborative fiction project "SCP" Foundation, for example, gives its name to a frightening but unspecified procedure used to contain an entity known as the SCP-231. Watching the word for "cutting off" and knowing its history does not add a small amount of weight to the possibility that the cut floor of Lumon is actually a great experiment of pcs-ops or even a paranormal variety.
Separation is the fonduent of creating its own versions of real events and concepts
Apart from the strange rules and the groove like a culture that the company imposes on its cut staff, each department of Lumon on the cut floor seems to be up to something shaded, from the absurd rural antiques of mammals. Dead wife Gemema (Dichen Lahman) is still alive and has an Indy called Ms Casey. The play also teases the importance of the cold port, an important macrodata file that depends on Mark's work and seems to be connected to Gemma. Regularly, again, again focused on the four Temperes of Kier Egan - unfortunate, Frochcho, scary and malice - it also seems to be related to the work of refining macrodates to sort numbers based on the emotions they choose.
It is worth noting that many of the more frightening concepts of the show have meaning in the real world. The "Cold Port" could be a reference to the 1964 civil war battle, one year before Lumon Industries was founded. The philosophy "Four Temperes" is essentially a turnaround by Kier Egan of the ancient psychological concept of Hippocrates at four temperatures, which stems from an even older medical theory of four humores.
Since these "cutting off" concepts have enough connection to the real world to get the viewer to ask, the dream of Montauk in the Holou of the accident is unusual. Perhaps it simply refers to a file that is the Irving version for whatever a cold port that represents. Maybe this Montauk is binding Completion of Season 1 of "Squazes", What does it mean that Lumon plans something related to severance payments at the global level ... Or it can be even worse. Whatever it is, viewers should probably be happy that Montauk's process in almost certainly prophetic sleep of Irving is currently completed only 3%.
