Glenn's death was probably the most prominent moment in the history of the series. It all turned around the introduction of Effe Her Morgan like Negan, the most notorious villain in the comic books. The leader of the rescuers, Negan appeared at the very end of The "The Walking Dead" final to choose his victim, leading to a great clifancher. The audience saw that Negan would kill a member of the Rick group with his barbed wire, covered with bat Lucil, playing a cruel game of "Eeni, Messie, Mini, Mo" to decide. Crucial, we didn't see who is and the viewers will have to wait months until the premiere of season 7 to find out what happened.

The premiere of Season 7, entitled "The Day Will Not Be Not", broadcast on October 23, 2016 and revealed who Negan won to death. Glenn, bloody and dies, looks at Maggie, who is pregnant with her child and says she will find her before Negan to get the job done. The audience is not spared from a detailed detail, as everything is shown. Nothing is left to the imagination. Even by cable TV standards, deaths are shocking.

To show how influential death is, Morgan said in 2023 that this scene from "The Walking Dead" had changed his life Before adding: "I go on those streets, and the people who are there remind me everyday that Glenn is their favorite character."
