Lively and Reynolds made another shocking claim against Baldoni, saying he is still waging a "retaliation campaign" against her and that how the case is handled "could have profound consequences."

According to DeadlineA lawyer for the couple made the claims in a letter to Judge Lewis J. Liman on Friday night, doubling down on the need to serve a gag order on Baldoni's lawyers to prevent "extrajudicial statements."

"Requiring defense counsel to adhere to the ethics rules that bind them is not a gag order; it is a mechanism to ensure that proceedings in this court are not marred by counsel's conduct outside the courtroom," attorney Esra Hudson wrote on behalf of the couple.

Lively and Baldoni's legal dispute began in December when reports surfaced of their disagreement while promoting the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel, "It Ends With Us."

After she filed a 10-page lawsuit and a subsequent sexual harassment lawsuit against her co-star, Baldoni hit back at Lively and her husband with a $400 million counterclaim claiming she tried to use her celebrity power to hijack his movie.

In their new letter seeking a gag order, the couple's attorney said Baldoni may still be waging a smear campaign against the "Gossip Girl" star.

Hudson wrote, "Even more troubling is that the retaliatory campaign Ms. Lively alleges in her lawsuit, with substantial supporting documentation, involves highly destructive behind-the-scenes elements, including the regular engagement of (Baldoni's head of crisis PR) Melissa Nathan with her massive media tabloid sources to influence the steady stream of negative press about Ms Lively, as well as a sophisticated and 'undetectable' digital social media manipulation campaign designed to influence algorithms social media against Ms. Lively."

The lawyer added: "The Lively-Reynolds parties have been informed and believe that these efforts have continued unabated since the CRD complaint was filed, and may even have been accelerated. The administration of justice in this case will be seriously compromised if this conduct continues."

Lively and Reynolds asked the judge for an injunction against Baldoni's attorneys, led by Bryan Freedman, for allegedly making false statements about the case.

The couple made a request while responding to a video released by Baldoni's camp. The video highlights a slow dance scene that Lively cited in her lawsuit as the moment Baldoni sexually harassed her and told her she "smells good."

It has since sparked debate online, with many claiming it proves Baldoni's innocence, while others believe it shows Lively was embarrassed.

Lively and Reynolds insisted that a protective order against Freedman would prevent the lawyer from engaging in "inappropriate conduct," including an alleged media campaign of harassment and retaliation against them.

They said TMJ"Justin Baldoni and his attorney may hope this latest ploy will get ahead of the damaging evidence against him, but I've seen it doomsday. Every frame of the released footage confirms, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in paragraph 48 of her complaint."

"The video shows Mr. Baldoni repeatedly leaning toward Ms. Lively, trying to kiss her, kissing her forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, thumbing her lips, caressing her, telling her how good she smells, and talking to her outside character," continued the lawyers.
