"Star Trek: Section 31" takes the franchise on a road less traveled by bringing back "Star Trek: Discovery" standout Philippa Georgiou (Michelle Yeo) and putting her in charge of a heist. Unlike Star Wars' take on the heist movie theme in 2016's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the often more idealistic and pacifist Trek opts for a much lighter route. Star Trek: Section 31 is B-movie garbage in the best possible way, as Oscar winner Yeo rocks her fallen tyrant character's new role as the head of arguably the most fearsome team a Star Trek project has ever given fans.

Among the film's key members of the Section 31 special operations team is the unpredictable and intense Fuzz, who probably wouldn't be a major character in almost any other Star Trek movie. Fuzz is played by South African actor Sven Ruygrok, a rising star who has been making a name for himself in recent years - both in genre fiction and beyond. Here's where you might have seen it before.

Before its cancellation and move to Netflix in late 2023, Max "Warrior" ranks among the best things on TV. The perennially unsung 19th-century martial arts crime drama has led a rocky life, but it could still get another season if it proves suitably successful on Netflix. For now, though, fans who've already lapped up the show will just have to settle for rewatches... and while they're at it, spot some surprise guest stars.

In the star-studded Warrior Season 3, one such guest star is none other than Sven Ruygrok. He appears in episode 6, titled "A Soft Heart Will Do You No Favors", as the significant but conflicted antagonist Carter. "Star Trek: Section 31" isn't the first time Sven Ruijgrok has played a rogue genre character, and the actor previously played the pirate Kabaji in the Netflix live-action series adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's popular One Piece manga. The hairy, shirtless knife-throwing expert is one of the main henchmen of Buggy the Clown (Jeff Ward), and his knife death wheel can make life extremely uncomfortable for a prisoner.

Kabaji has a very special bone to pick with Roronoa Zoro (Makeniyu), a pirate hunter who finds himself running with the Straw Hat Pirates. Naturally, the two bladed characters come face-to-face when Kabaji catches Zoro in his knife-throwing Wheel of Death in One Piece Season 1 Episode 2, "The Straw Hat Man." Although Kabaddi is not as much of a threat to the main character as he would like to believe, their time together is still crucial to Zoro's story as it marks the first time he openly expresses his support for Monkey D. Luffy (Ignacy Godoy) .

In the source material, Kabbaji hangs around for quite some time, serving as a trusted lieutenant for Buggy and a certain would-be villain whose appearance we won't spoil here. Sven Ruijgrok rose to fame in his native South Africa starring in the 2010 boarding school comedy-drama Spud, playing a student known as Rambo alongside John Cleese and musician-actor Troye Sivan ("X-Men Origins: Wolverine, " The Idol").
