"We were planning or talking about planning our wedding, setting a date, setting a venue, what we like, what we don't like," Shallcross, 28, said on the Thursday, Jan. 23, episode of "Almost Famous" podcast
Shallcross explained that she and Bigger met with a "good friend" of theirs who is a wedding planner to talk about the details.
"To our wedding planner's credit, she took it and ran with it and booked us into all these places," Shallcross said. "And we're like, 'Oh, wow, this is happening really fast.'"
When their wedding planner said the couple would need to budget "a lot higher" for their ideal venue, Shallcross and Bigger, who want to prioritize buying a home, took a break.
“We thought about it for a week and we thought, '(It) doesn't feel good to go to this venue when we've already set our priorities,' which is buying a house and no less. "Payment for one day," Shalcross said. "So we pulled out of the deal. Not saying we're done planning the wedding. We actually went further in other areas, but we just couldn't do it. I don't know, it's crazy these days."
