Polo G ignites the debate against Streaming Rap
On Wednesday, Polo G took to his IG story saying:
"I want to be a streamer too one day I heard they pay better than rap 😭"
The rapper's Instagram comments led to a debate over whether streamers earn more than rappers. Many followers encouraged the Polo G to look into streaming. However, others argued that just getting it for the money might not lead to success.

From Polo G's comments to a viral Airbnb feud, it moves to a conversation about rappers streaming continues to evoke strong opinions. This discussion has continued as streamers Kai Cenat, Age Rossand iShowSpeed they have gained success, fame and tons of money.
Earlier this month, a viral feud between rappers Foreigner Fivio, Lil Tjay and streamers Plaqueboy Max sparked a debate. Social media users felt Max was disrespected when he asked rappers to stop smoking.

Instagram user @sierrasprague says, "no lie ‼️ that's why these rappers are streaming streamers to be on their stream 🫡 streamers are the new method."
Another Instagram user @iam.isiah said: "Unless you're an A-list artist like Drake, Kendrick, Nicki Minaj, Latto, you no longer hold any weight against streamers rappers (are) not prominent."
Instagram user @elleshax.x said: "That's right, but for now streamers shouldn't be too comfortable the assistants are real flip-floppy and the era of streaming will also be over..."
Rappers turn to Streaming
A few years ago, DDG made a similar claim when he tweeted, "ngl... youtubers/streamers make more money than rappers and it's not even close."
DDG is a great example of an artist growing in the music and streaming world. Should Polo G decide to pursue streaming, he wouldn't be the first rapper to explore this space.
