When on her podcast, "Are you Charlotte?" the actress revealed that the "very successful" actor once cheated on her after she loaned him $5,000.
"I think this was before 'Sex and the City,' maybe between 'Melrose' and 'Sex and the City,' or maybe when I was on 'Melrose.' I don't know," Davis recalled.
At the time, she was dating an "out-of-work actor" who she described as "very talented." During their relationship, Davis noticed alarming bills at his house, threatening to cut off his electricity. She also remembered the man who wrecked his motorcycle, his primary form of transportation to auditions.

"And I was like, 'What's going on?' And then, I think he wrecked his motorcycle, which is kind of how he got to his auditions," she said. Sympathizing with his struggles, Davis offered to lend him $5,000, which he now regrets.
"Terrible mistake," she admitted. "But I just thought, like, I can help... I should help this guy. He's so talented, which he is. Loan him money. I think it was all of $5,000 — a lot of money."

The actor's identity remains unknown

Davis revealed that the loan "changed the dynamic" between them, leading to an uncomfortable change in their relationship. "He stopped calling," she said, describing how she eventually went to his apartment and knocked on his door. "His dog was in there, and I loved his dog, and I could hear his dog, but I asked, 'Is he in there pretending he's not there?'
