When Davis was not greeted at the door, she later received a phone call from the man, who asked her if he was the person who knocked on her door.
"I was like, 'Well, yeah,'" Davis said. “I felt so embarrassed, like I was getting messy. I'd just like some recognition or whatever, which is some kind of fantasy."
Although he didn't reveal the man's identity, Davis gave some details of what he might be to this day. "She lives in the country with some kids, so I don't think I want to show up there," she quipped.
Reflecting further on the ordeal, Davis characterized her decision as a "terrible mistake" before imploring her audience to avoid repeating her actions. "Don't do it," Davis said. "It doesn't end well."
