Tuesday, January 21 TMZ published an exclusive report that Brown is suing entities for "promoting and publishing defamatory claims against him" with Investigation Discovery's docuseries, 'Chris Brown: A History of Violence.'

Brown further alleges that the entities released the defamatory statements "even after providing evidence that the claims were false." Per TMZBrown confirmed that the alleged victim at the center of the docuseries, referred to as Jane Doe, has been "repeatedly dismissed." The singer reported that a lawsuit filed against him by Doe was previously unfounded.

He also stated that the docuseries labels him a "serial rapist and sexual abuser". However, they have never been found guilty of any "sex-related offences".

Finally, Brown accused the entities of "pushing an old narrative in the name of fame and fortune." He is reportedly seeking $500 million in damages because the docuseries affected his "reputation, career and business opportunities." Sixth page it says the docuseries was released in October 2024.

If the case is ruled in Brown's favor, he is said to have pledged to donate the proceedings to victims of sexual abuse.
