What about the door? Although we know that the poison barrier is there, we are not sure if the door is anything other than a giant cover for poison distribution. Could the poison come from somewhere else and if so what is behind the giant door?
We're just guessing here, but the giant door could be a way into another silo. Although there is no huge door in it Woolen books, at some point, Silo 18 men dig a tunnel to connect their silo to a neighbor. Rather than going through all the trouble of digging a new tunnel, the series might be thinking of simply opening this door.
