
In its latest episode sister wife, Mary Brown shed light on the breakdown of his family's finances - and he claims it wasn't always fair.
“His whole big talk was that I would get two acres. Two acres,” Mary, 53, told her friend Jane During the Sunday, Jan. 19, episode of the TLC series, the ex-husband complained Cody Brown Never intended to give him an equal share of their family's Coyote Pass property. "He's like, 'Well, you don't need that much because you don't have that many kids.'"
Jane notes that Mary "paid equally" to the plot of land in Flagstaff, Arizona, even though she shared only one child. LeonWith Cody, 55.
"I don't know if they remember, like, When our funds were together And the family funds I helped with went to the kids' college, went to the property," Mary explained. “It went into everything. We had a family fund."
Jane quickly reminded Mary Not only did she deposit money in the family bank while married to Cody, but that money "paid for most of the kids' college, but not Leon's."
Jane complains that family funds "went on most of the kids' cars, but not Leon's," which Mary confirms. "I paid for Leon's college," Mary said, adding that she also paid for her child's "car payment" — and didn't use the family slush.
Mary admitted: "I don't really know how much of the family funds actually went to the other children's school or cars, but I do know that my children's school was not taken care of from the family funds."

Although she was married to Cody the longest, Mary claims she never received a share of the money her sister's wives pooled for their plural families.
"Cody actually said it: 'Because I only have one child, I'm not entitled to an equal share of the property,'" Mary complained, again referring to the sale of their communal land.
Mary and Cody were legally married from 1990 to 2014. they are Divorced So Cody can marry a fourth wife Robin Brown and legally adopted her three children from a previous relationship. Mary and Cody were in a spiritual union until then confirmed their separation In January 2023.
With Leon, Cody welcomed six children together Janelle Brown And Christine Brown before their respective breakups. (Jenelle announced her split in December 2022, while Kristin left the plural family in 2021.)
Cody is still married to Robin, 46, with whom he shares three adopted children and two biological children.
“We had 18 kids to take care of. You know, that's just water under the bridge,” Cody told the cameras during Sunday's episode while discussing the division of wealth. “I don't even want to discuss it. Mary can complain all she wants.”
While Cody tries to ignore Mary's demands, she's adamant that she deserves some of the money from their Coyote Pass property — as does Jenelle. (Christine He was given a portion of the land (to Robin and Cody after the divorce and left money from the sale of his Arizona home.)
“I put a lot into this marriage Emotionally, financially (and) personally. I didn't get anything out of it as far as, like, sustenance or whatever. And I'm not looking for it,” Mary concluded. “So I think it's fair (I get) property investment. I think it's only fair that I at least get away with it."
Elsewhere in the episode, Cody meets with a realtor to list Coyote Pass but doesn't keep Janelle or Mary in the loop. The women, meanwhile, have retained attorneys to try both and Protect their rights to land.
