TikTok star Alix Earle she rose to fame on the social media platform, but now it seems she's worried her star power will fade away without her.
The 24-year-old University of Miami graduate opened the app and shared an emotional video in which she expressed her worries about what life would be like without TikTok.

Alix Earle sobs over possible TikTok ban

The lifestyle influencer has over 7.2 million followers on the app who love watching her "Get Ready With Me" videos and makeup tutorials. However, now that the app is in danger of being shut down, the social media sensation took a moment to express his frustration and sadness over the app's possible demise.
“I can't sleep. I'm so freaked out about this. I'm so sad, I'm just thinking like all the memories are just disappearing," she said she told her followers. I love you guys so much and I just feel like I have to get back to you right now.”
"I'm letting go because, I'm like, 'Where am I going to scroll?'" she asked the camera. “It's so much fun talking to everyone here.”

Alix Earle asks her followers to take her 'to a mental hospital'
In addition to publishing her content, she also admitted that she likes to "consume it too" and that she doesn't know what to do without the app. It is worth noting that she is also active on Instagram, where she has 3.8 million followers.
"Guys, it's not right," she continued. “Someone will have to check me into a mental hospital. What the hell is going on? Can we all just hang out?”
"This is going to be the worst day ever," she added, most likely referring to Sunday when the app is supposed to shut down.

However, it's worth noting that the Biden administration has signaled that they have no plans to shut down the app over the holiday weekend. Instead, they plan to wait until Monday, when President Trump officially takes office, to make a decision on whether or not to actually ban TikTok.

I started posting here my freshman year of college (with) hopes of gaining a platform," she wrote in the caption. "I posted almost every day for three years and right when I was at one of the lowest points in my life, somehow my videos started to gain traction."

"I realized that this platform was so unique in that I didn't have to be 'perfect' or so curated," she continued. "I started sharing my journey with acne and starting Accutane. While I didn't want to post my bare skin online, overwhelming positivity helped me in ways I couldn't have imagined. From not wanting to leave the house by sharing my insecurities with millions I've created such a special bond with you guys."
Alix says she could 'be alone' on TikTok

While there are numerous social media platforms available, the social media sensation felt that TikTok is “a place where I can be authentically myself and share every aspect of my life. I met my friends, family, relationships, struggles with mental health, school, advice, fashion travel, recipes, upsets… and quite a few hangovers,” she admitted.
"The fact that I can meet any of you and instantly feel like best friends is the most special thing in the world to me," she continued. "Even though I've tried to be a big sister here, you guys have helped me become a better person, I'm maturing and learning faster than I ever imagined. I'll always be here... but if it's not on TikTok anymore, I'm going to thank you."

"I still can't fathom how any part of my life is real and thanks to this app it's allowed me to make best friends with millions of you around the world. I'll always keep the party going... it just might be somewhere else right now," she added, although she didn't reveal what other social media website she might be heading to.
Donald Trump could give TikTok a 90-day extension

President-elect Donald Trump said this on Saturday NBC News"Meet the Press" moderator Kristen Welker that she will "most likely" give TikTok a 90-day extension of the potential ban after she takes office on Monday, January 20.
While he hasn't made a final decision yet, he said: “The 90-day extension is something that will most likely be done, because it's appropriate. You know, it's appropriate. We have to look at it carefully. It's a very big situation.”
"If I decide to do it, I'll probably announce it on Monday," he added.
