Keith Leethe beloved viral food critic and influencer recently looked back on his extraordinary internet journey as an American possibility TikTok prohibition of looms.

As TikTok users in the US anxiously wait to see if the app will go live or shut down on Sunday, January 19, many creators are saying goodbye to the app, just in case.
For viral TikToker Lee, reminiscing and taking a little trip down memory lane to share some of the good times was his way of saying goodbye to TikTok and all of its followers if the app goes dark.
"All the news going around TikTok, I think it's time to talk about it. So let's talk about it," he began his video. “I just want to start by saying if it's not real and we're here after the 19th, regardless, this message still stands. This community, and when I say community, I don't mean that lightly, has changed my entire life. "

He continued his video, explaining that "countless and countless lives of the family have been affected." He then listed a few people he could help with his food reviews.

Lee he listed several touching stories in which he was able to participate in the creation.
"A lady who had been a teacher for 20 years could retire after a 24-hour review," he said. "The husband and father who dreamed of owning a restaurant was diagnosed with tongue cancer right after he got the restaurant. Before he passed away, he was able to see his restaurant flourish, something he had dreamed of all his life."
His list went on to shout out the owner of a banana pudding shop in Texas and how she was able to open a second location. Lee also talked about a Vegas pizzeria that was "on the verge of closing, literally a week away from closing" and how it's still open two and a half years later. He also said Cleo's in Chicago "went from one location to three."

"And those are just five that come to mind. It's been over hundreds," he continued. "This is a mission I believe in with all my heart, God put me on it, and nothing or no one is going to stop me from doing it."
Lee said that no matter what happens with either app, "we stand with you." He reminded his followers that he has the same name on all other social networks and shared that he has "big news" that he can't "get into" yet.

Fans are with him regardless of the TikTok outcome

As with all of Lee's videos, his loyal followers jumped into the comments section to share their support, appreciation and love for everything he does.
"You have changed so many lives with this app that I pray we continue to see you make a difference," wrote one viewer. Another said: "Thank you Keith. God used your gift of communication and compassion to help people. This is what life is all about to use our gifts and testimonies to help and bless others. This is true community."
Another viewer added: "You are the good people of TikTok making a difference in the world."
Many others have wondered if Lee will switch to RedNote in the future, though he has yet to answer that.
Keith Lee credits TikTok for helping him with his anxiety

Lee, 28, recently opened PEOPLE about how the app helped him deal with anxiety and depression. He explained that his reviews not only help restaurants and small business owners, but also help himself.
When he compared videos from when he was 18 to now, he credited the differences in TikTok.
"I believe TikTok played a key role in that, as did the people of TikTok," he said. "I am forever grateful."
He also credits his family, wife Ronna and their children Carter and Riley, with helping to ground him through his seasonal depression and anxiety.
“Without them, I don't believe I would be able to do what I do or have as many tools to improve as I do,” he shared.

Keith Lee shared a throwback video on TikTok
on friday, Lee shared a video on TikTok showing how far he's come on the app.
In the video, Lee is seen preparing dinner for his wife while she takes care of their baby. He responded to the comment "why do you cook, why can't your mother help you" with a "teachable moment" in which he can "drop some knowledge".
It didn't take long for viewers to fill up the comments section.
"This all started with someone hating on the comments? Look how it took off!!" one person wrote. Another added: "We celebrated the right person… God bless you Keith!!"
And the love and support did not stop there.
"Amazing growth. Grateful for your faith and hard work," one person said. Another said: "Thanks for being here with us Keith and thank you for all the amazing content."
