We talked over coffee, unexpected joys, the beauty of the world, and laughing," she wrote. "His love for me and my love for him came out of the cosmic destiny of two people who saw the best things about themselves in each other."

McLachlan continued, “I will miss him more than my tongue and my heart can bear. My world is so much fuller because I knew her and so much emptier now that she's gone. David, I am forever changed, and forever at your call. Thank you for everything.”
