Meghan Markle it's reportedly all because she postponed her new Netflix show, "With Love, Meghan," amid the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

The Duchess raised her eyebrows as she announced the delay; however, a source close to the Sussexes has now shed more light on her real reason for pushing back the release date.

Meghan Markle has since expressed her gratitude to Netflix for supporting the postponement, emphasizing her empathy for the displaced families.

Meghan didn't hesitate to delay the release of her upcoming Netflix cooking series, "With Love, Meghan," just days before its scheduled premiere amid the fire.

The show, which was originally scheduled to start on January 15, was pushed back to March 4 due to the devastating wildfires that hit her hometown of Los Angeles.

While some critics questioned the reasons behind the two-month delay, sources close to the Duchess of Sussex said People Magazine that the decision was driven by genuine concern for those affected by the disaster.

"Delaying the release of With Love, Meghan was probably an easy decision for her," the insider said. "I don't think she could imagine putting on a show centered around joy and hosting when so many people in her home state no longer have homes to host people in."

The source also addressed skepticism about Meghan's motives, noting that the decision was rooted in empathy.

"I think it's sad that critics say she's only doing this to avoid the fires that overshadow her show. We're all human and we deal with disaster," the source noted.

In a statement released on Sunday, just three days before the premiere of her Netflix cooking series, Meghan expressed her gratitude for the streaming giant's support in delaying the show.

"I am grateful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch while we focus on the needs of those affected by the wildfires in my home state of California," said the Duchess of Sussex.

"Love, Meghan" is said to contain heartfelt tributes to California, reflecting Meghan's deep connection to her home state.

The show's description reads: "With love, Meghan is produced by Meghan and offers a mix of practical guides and open conversations with friends both familiar and new."

The series focuses on Meghan sharing her "personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection, and highlighting how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected."

He adds, "She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, garden and beyond, and invite you to do the same."

The long-awaited lifestyle series was first hinted at when Meghan unveiled her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, in March last year.

The trailer shows the Duchess cooking in her Montecito kitchen, picking fresh produce from her garden and chatting with high-profile friends, all set to the upbeat tune of "Do You Believe in Magic" by The Lovin' Spoonful.

Meghan shares her passion for adding thoughtful touches to everyday moments.

"I've always loved taking something quite ordinary and elevating it, surprising people with moments that let them know I really mean them," she says.

Meghan goes on to explain that the series will offer simple tips and tricks for incorporating these thoughtful gestures into everyday life.

"This is about connecting with friends... We're not looking for perfection, we're looking for joy," she added.

The decision to delay the release of "Love, Meghan" follows Harry and Meghan's hands-on volunteer efforts in Pasadena, where they spent the day supporting firefighting efforts.

Partnering with World Central Kitchen, a longtime partner of their Archewell Foundation, the couple helped serve meals to those affected by the devastating fires.

Footage from Fox 11 Los Angeles caught Harry and Meghan mingling with volunteers and Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo.

The mayor praised their involvement, describing them as "great people" with "great personalities" and noting their positive impact on first responders.

"They really boosted the spirits of the first responders. We visited the command post at the Rose Bowl and people were very happy to see them," Gordo said.

They shared an impassioned statement on their website Sussex.com, urging people to support those displaced and to "check up" on the elderly and disabled.
