LiAngelo Ball Signs Multimillion Music Deal After 'Tweaker' (Report)

"You might swerve, bend that corner, bye” has had TikTok users in the last week. The trending audio is the opening part of a new track from the aspiring rapper LiAngelo Ball. Now, it appears 'Tweaker' Ball could be the key to landing a seven-figure record deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group.

LiAngelo Ball is reportedly getting A LOT in his record deal

ESPN reporter Shams Charania shared news On Monday, January 13, via X (formerly Twitter) according to the alleged record deal. Charania revealed that sources valued the deal at $13 million, of which $8 million was guaranteed. Additionally, LiAngelo Ball will retain ownership of his music and label, Born To Ball Music Group, By Genius. In addition, Charani's report revealed that LiAngelo already had a second song to follow 'Tweaker'.

Social media reacts to the alleged record deal

LiAngelo has made a solid pivot from professional basketball to music in recent months. He is the middle child of the Ball brothers, Lonzo is the oldest and LaMelo is the youngest. While both of his brothers are playing in the NBA, he hasn't been able to be on an active roster beyond brief stints with the Pistons and Hornets and the G League's Greensboro Swarm.

For context, 'Tweaker' dropped on January 3rd, and within five days, it was in the top 10 most streamed songs on Spotify, according to ESPN. On that same platform, the song has more than 1.3 million plays.

In The Shade Room's IG comments section, roommates chimed in on the value of LiAngelo Ball's deal. Ball's son's mother, Miss Nikkii Babyhe commented, "Yes, very happy for my love."
