The Brown family patriarch has reportedly been absent from Truely's life since Christine's split
As soon as the marriage ended, Truely moved in with her mother in Flagstaff, Arizona, making it clear whose side she was on. After her move, insiders revealed in 2022 that her father also refused to be present in her life. According to the source:
"Basically, he's not in Truely's life. Kody's not going anywhere. Christine has to accept Kody."
The source added that Kody is still "paranoid about the COVID and everything. So if Christine doesn't decide to ship and that happens — nor would she put Truely through any of this stress — then Kody won't have a relationship with Truely he would have to leave his nest to see his daughter."

Inside Christine and Kody, a heated child custody battle
Kody's decision to stay out of his daughter's life due to the fear of COVID and other factors has reportedly become a concern for Christine.
The Blast reported that the TV personality, in response, filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband, asking the court to establish his paternity over their daughter Truely. Kody was not listed on her birth certificate and Truely moved in with Christina in Utah in 2021.
Christine also filed for a domestic relations restraining order, which would limit any form of harassment, domestic violence, or alteration of essential services without mutual consent or a court order.
The document will prevent Kody and Christina from taking their children on a trip without permission or from publicly saying unflattering things about the other party if approved.
Christine was convinced that moving in would truly protect Kody Brown's relationship with her
Interestingly, Christine argued that being away would only make Truely's heart grow fonder for her father, so moving in with her might not be such a terrible idea.
The mom of six explained that her move to Utah in 2021 with Truely helped maintain a healthy interaction between her and Kody. She added that not really being around to witness Kody's bad side in real time was a big help in saving the rest of their relationship.
The family matriarch, whose strained relationships with his children and ex-wives remain memorable, branded Christina's defense a "BS rationalization" and "ridiculous".

Christine Brown described her estranged husband as 'dead and forgotten'
Late last year, Christine jumped into a radio interview where she was asked to describe her ex-husband in three words.
The TLC star chose a pretty interesting choice of words to qualify her baby daddy. She stated, "Deadbeat dad... Sorry, that's two, but it could be two," she said before adding, "Deadbeat dad and ... oblivious."
The mother-of-six was followed by her other sister's ex-wife, Janelle Brown, who was taken aback by her response and offered a different perspective.
Janelle described her estranged husband as "charismatic" and tried to convince a very angry Christine to see where she was coming from.
At the end of their exchange, Janelle ended up agreeing with Christina's point of view and noted that Kody is also selfish, oblivious, and acts like he's "confused by reality."
Will Christine Brown and Kody Brown find a way around their complicated custody battle that has now turned into divorce proceedings? Time will tell!
