Demi Moore Says She's Nothing Like Her Character in 'The Substance'
Reflecting on her portrayal of Elizabeth Sparkle in the film, Moore noted that her personal life is not like the character's as she does not seem to mind the aging process.

"I've certainly gone through that at different times in my life, where I too have placed too much value on my outer self and not enough on my inner self, and where I've given away my power based on being validated based on what I look like. Ironically, that's ever when I was much younger," Moore continued.
"Specifically, the scene where (my character) is on the verge of being able to break out of his self-imposed prison by going on a date, I think the idea is to go there or change clothes and try to improve it — you can make it worse," Moore added. "Again, I think we've all had those moments. Don't you?"
