In her statement, she announced the upcoming release of her book 'This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light'. She addressed Stephen's family, friends and followers on Instagram Stories and shared that she hopes to help another family with her book. He admits he'll "never really know what happened" and is trying to put the pieces together as best he can.
“If you decide to read the book, hopefully you'll see that my intention is to celebrate the love and life I shared with Stephen and our three children, as well as two more complex aspects of our lives. I hope that by sharing our full story it may help someone else who may see themselves or a loved one in Stephen."
Allison added that she hopes sharing will help another family "catch some of the red flags they may have missed" before it's too late. Holker also clarified that his writing was based on two years of conversations with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and The Defensive Line (the mental health community). Proceeds from the book will benefit Move with Kindness, a foundation in her husband's honor. Scroll down for the full statement.
“My hope is that we don't have to lose another husband, brother or father or friend to suicide. I believe that if Stephen could choose, he would choose to tell his story if it meant saving even one life. Much love to all those who have supported our family over the years."
What prompted Allison Holker's second statement
From the looks of it, Allison seems to have started her press tour to release the book next month. Social networks have been expanding ever since PEOPLE released a sit-down with Allison later this week. In it, Stephen explains that he finds drugs in Boss's closet while cleaning it out and choosing a funeral outfit.
Social media didn't feel like an honest hour, and neither did Stephen Bossen's alleged cousin Darielle. Relatives made allegations on X (formally Twitter) about Allison keeping her and tWitch's children away from the family and having loved ones sign NDAs for her funeral. Darielle also accused Holker of trying to "tarnish" Stephen's legacy.
Allison has yet to address her cousin directly. However, he responded to another user who said he was shaming Twitch with his PEOPLE interview. "I try to help people feel safe to ask for help and support" he wrote in the comments section.
