Ross is going for Vivienne five years after a light-hearted post on social media
As fans mourned the loss of The Vivienne, born James Lee Williams, Ross took the moment to respond to the late drag performer's July 27, 2020 post on X (formerly Twitter).
"I bet Tyra was pissed when she realized Netflix spoiled the win too," The Vivienne wrote, noting that the streaming app previously launched "RuPaul's Drag Race UK" during its early seasons (episodes will debut on Netflix for a week after the broadcast on BBC Three ).
"Sorry, girl," they added, "but you tried."
Ross would then repost The Vivienne comment early Sunday night with a dark response.
"Still, it doesn't compare to crematorium fumes."
After a series of other deplorable comments, Ross would double down on their negativity.

Fans and fellow 'Drag Race' stars defend Vivienne after Ross's rude comment
Almost immediately after they were released, Ross' words were met with a barrage of criticism from fans of The Vivienne and other "RuPaul's Drag Race" stars.
"You are disgusting," wrote one social media user, per Daily Mail. "Shame on you."
Season 2 friend Tatianna, who later competed on "RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars" Season 2, would seem to answer to Ross's unmarked rudeness, though the intent remained clear.
"She kind of got worse," Tatiana said, relating to their time together on the show.
However, Season 13 favorite and recent contestant on E!'s “House of Villains” Kandy Muse took direct aim at Ross by vowing to exact physical revenge on Vivienne's behalf.

"That's not a threat," added Muse, "that's a promise, a disgusting person."
To which Ross replied, “A threat has been received. Prepare your funeral.”

Both Ross and Vivienne were 'Drag Race' winners, but their paths diverge greatly
Like The Vivienne, Ross rose to fame by winning the crown on "RuPaul's Drag Race" in 2010 as Tyra Sanchez, beating out 11 other contestants to become "America's Next Drag Superstar."
Since then, Ross' status as an entertainer has weathered numerous storms, including controversies and arrests that reportedly led to him being made persona non grata by World of Wonder, the production company behind “RuPaul's Drag Race.”
In 2019, a year after posting a countdown on his site alluding to possible violence at DragCon 2018 NYC, Ross issued an apology, blaming his actions on the "judgments, criticism and opinions" he received during and after his run on the popular reality show. competitive series.
"Many times I've expressed myself without thinking things through," Ross wrote in a lengthy X post that has since been deleted, Queerty. "I reacted out of fear and anger. Ignoring the fact that I was wrong, I unleashed my anger on anyone who wronged me.”
He would retire his drag persona in 2020 — the same year he released the private number of Raven, runner-up on “RuPaul's Drag Race” Season 2. He has since relaunched the alter ego, albeit exclusively on OnlyFans.

English darling Myra DuBois, who once appeared on “Britain's Got Talent”, would also share her words on The Vivienne via Instagramand states that despite their notoriety, they often faced homophobia and other hateful comments online.
"I don't know how Vivienne left us, and I will respect (the family's) request for privacy by not trying to find out," DuBois noted, "(but) I do know ... she was bombarded with homophobic abuse."
"You can't just post how sad you are when LGBTQ+ people die," they continued. "I want you to ask if you are doing everything you can to keep all LGBTQ+ people alive."
