Christina Haack hits back at Josh Hall's claims about 'The Flip Off' teaser
Josh broke his silence on the reality show teaser on his Instagram Story, highlighting a newspaper article about the fight. The footage was taken before the estranged couple split in July 2024 and revealed one of the reasons for their ongoing divorce.
However, Josh hinted that his heated exchange with Christina was scripted to boost ratings and didn't capture his true feelings. He called out the showrunners for painting him as a problem in the post's overlapping text, writing:
“TFW when you can't get enough ratings with famous (in-house) designers, so you rely on manufactured drama with me, no one. @HGTV, you've changed."

The 'Christina On The Coast' star backs up her claims with evidence
Christina's backlash didn't end there as she called Josh out in a separate Instagram Story post. She gave evidence of the aftermath of filming with her estranged husband, sharing a selfie of herself crying in a car.
"This was taken on June 21st 2024. After one of my shoots with Josh. This is 'real' and a reminder to myself that I deserve better," Christina captioned the emotional pic. Although she wasn't caught crying in the show's teaser, the real estate developer seemed to be done with her estranged husband.
In the video, Josh was driving the car while Christina looked sullen in the passenger seat. Her estranged husband appeared upset about their house-turning showdown with Tarek and Heather, berating his then-wife for not taking the competition seriously.

Inside an estranged couple's heated conversation
Josh mostly had a one-sided conversation with Christina as he tried to get a reaction from her. He seemed upset by her lack of response to his comments about the competition and reminded her of her status as his wife, saying:
"Remember, you are the Hall now. Don't get confused in this contest about what your last name is."
When Christina didn't answer, Josh snapped, "You're rude." Finally she replied, "I'm not over-talking." Her quip drew further criticism from her then-husband, who added: "Yeah, what you say, and I just said, 'I wish you'd shut up already.'
Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa support Christina
Christina and HGTV shared a teaser video on their Instagram pages. The footage will be included in the two-hour premiere of the show on January 29. In the comments section of the post, Heather Rae expressed her support for the TV personality by slamming Josh, writing:
“Not all of them a real cut—and that's the real reality."
Her words come weeks later The Blast covered a sneak peek of the show that caught Tarek comforting Christina after her split from Josh. The former couple had an emotional conversation after visiting her home in Newport Beach, California for a check-up.

"They told me he wasn't nice to me. Why should I stay?" she told Tarek, adding: "I feel like I'm in a tornado all the time, and I just can't get out of it. Everything since 2016 has been so hard and so horrible."
A tearful Christina continued: "It really took a toll on me." She also apologized to her ex-husband for their nasty split in 2016, and Tarek admitted he went through a similar tough time after their split.
