However, the comedian recently revealed that not all of her jokes made it onto the airwaves – including a particularly sharp joke about Fr Ben Affleck's love life.

Ben Affleck's divorce joke that was cut from Nikki Glaser's monologue
Appearing on "The Howard Stern Show" after her well-received performance at the Golden Globes, Glaser shared one of the jokes that ended up being cut from her opening monologue.
“(I almost said), like, 'Am I going to bake or am I going to toast? You know what? I don't bake. Cheers," Glaser recalled. “And I just made all these toasts that were roasts. Like, 'Here's to Ben Affleck, I can't wait to see which Jennifer you're going to try to ruin next.'"
The comedian admitted to debating the impact of the joke, explaining: “And I argued like, 'Oh, I didn't say destroy them. I said he tried to ruin them, so he's not against them.' But I said, 'That would be crazy.'"

Affleck, of course, has had a very popular romantic history. He got married Jennifer Garner 2005 before their final split in 2015. He later rekindled his romance with his ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez in 2021, and the two got married in 2022.

Nikki Glaser was still roasting Ben Affleck
Although Affleck's romantic history didn't make it into Glaser's final script, the actor still found himself in the comedian's comedy during the live broadcast.
During her opening monologue, Glaser said, “Tonight we celebrate the best of film and reserve space for television. Yes, 'Wicked', 'Queer', 'Nightb-tch.' These aren't just the words Ben Affleck shouts after orgasm. These are some of the incredible films nominated tonight.”

Nikki Glaser says her jokes were fun
Despite the difficult format, Glaser maintained that her goal was never to hurt feelings. I'm talking to Entertainment Tonight ahead of the awards, she clarified her comedic intentions.
"You won't be crying because of my jokes later," she said. “Just be a cool person who laughs at herself. If I joke with you, I promise it's not meant to put you down or point out something about yourself that no one else has noticed.”
With her sharp humor and quick wit, Nikki Glaser cemented herself as the standout host of the 2025 Golden Globes, even if some of her boldest jokes didn't make it to the finale.

The comedian didn't stop there, adding her unfiltered thoughts on Baldoni. "I also don't want to say his name - I'm mad that I even know his name, to be honest, so I don't have to say it anymore."
And she stayed true to her word. There were no jokes about Lively or Baldoni's legal drama during the Golden Globes.

The controversy surrounding the production of "It Ends with Us" has made waves in recent weeks. Lively, who starred and worked under Baldoni's direction in the highly anticipated film adaptation, accused Baldoni of sexual harassment during production.
