Alwyn spoke to The Guardian in an interview published on Sunday and opened up about his relationship with Swift and its aftermath.

When asked if he was worried that dating Swift would overshadow his career, Alwyn said: "I've just tried to focus on controlling what I can control. And, from the beginning, I've tried to focus on the things that are meaningful for me: friends, family, work, of course."

Alwyn added: "So the noise outside of that, I think I've done what a lot of people who find themselves in the public eye do, which is try to ignore it. If you don't, and if you let other people put it in, and if it starts to affect you and your behavior, you're living on the outside in. And then you're pretty much screwed."

During the interview, Alwyn was asked if he wanted to move on from the chatter surrounding his and Swift's romance.

However, he claimed that he had moved on and the rest was up to others.

Alwyn explained: "It's something that other people have to do. We're talking about something that was a while ago in my life."

He concluded, "That's for other people. That's what I feel."

Meanwhile, the source said PEOPLE in April 2024 that Alwyn was "fine" and "focused on work", before adding that the actor was "having fun and happy".

The insider added: "He's a great guy and he's not into drama in any way."
