Reynolds and his wife, Lively, will not attend this Sunday's Golden Globes despite Reynolds' nomination for "Deadpool & Wolverine." Page Six has confirmed.
The Marvel Studios blockbuster, which grossed $1.33 billion worldwide, was nominated in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category. Reynolds' colleague Hugh Jackman he is also expected to skip the awards ceremony in Los Angeles, it said Deadline.
However, a source close to the couple said Page Six that Reynolds and Lively's decision to pull out of the event was made long before legal drama involving Lively and her "It Ends with Us" co-star Baldoni went public. The couple's absence comes just weeks later Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment in a sharp legal action. The "Gossip Girl" alum claimed Baldoni had to be reprimanded at an "all hands" meeting — attended by Reynolds — for making inappropriate sex-related comments, including discussing his past "porn addiction" and sharing explicit images of women.
Lively also claimed that Baldoni hired a crisis manager to launch a social media campaign aimed at tarnishing her reputation. In her legal filingsshe included text messages allegedly sent by Baldoni's crisis team, one of which chillingly read: "You know we can bury anyone."

Justin Baldoni denies the allegations
Baldoni vehemently denied the allegations through his attorney, Bryan Freedman, who called the claims "deliberately offensive" and aimed at damaging Baldoni's public image. Freedman further stated that Lively's legal action was a "desperate attempt" to save her reputation after a series of controversial public appearances and interviews.
Freedman also confirmed that Baldoni plans to file a lawsuit against Lively in the near future. Additionally, Baldoni has already filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against the New York Times, accusing them of misrepresenting details of the legal dispute.
