According to the records reviewed by the medical examiner our weeklyBena's official cause of death was listed as suicide. The same medical records revealed that an autopsy was conducted and her body could be released to the family. At the time of publication, the status of the case was still listed as "open" despite the cause of death being determined.
No additional cause or significant conditions were listed regarding Bena's death.

Baena and Plaza first started dating in 2011 and officially tied the knot in 2020 after a decade together. The pair have largely kept their relationship under wraps, but Plaza opened up about her and Bena's wedding during a December 2021 appearance. The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
