Brad Pitt's alleged reason to settle with Angelina Jolie
According to Daily Maila source familiar with the situation revealed why Pitt decided to settle his contentious divorce case with his ex-wife.
An insider told the outlet that the 61-year-old actor was "relieved" about the split after he was tired of it because he believed Jolie was "dragging her legs" on the divorce.
They added that his intention to marry his girlfriend Ines de Ramon in 2025 is the reason why he decided to finalize their divorce.
"They want to get married next year and Brad has agreed because he wants to keep his kids on his side to keep his new marriage going," the insider said. "Obviously, Ines wants to have children too and has been putting pressure on him to sort things out as soon as possible."
The duo are still at loggerheads over their French winery
Although their divorce is settled, the former couple is still struggling over the winery they once co-owned.
According to a source close to Pitt, the duo "acquired Miraval with the intention of keeping it 100 percent in the family."
The source added: "They wanted to pass this on to their children so they could one day run the business, which would provide a lucrative and stable future for all of them."
However, in 2022, Jolie changed her plans and sold her share, which Pitt claims violated a verbal agreement that neither would sell their shares without the other's consent.
Now the former couple could finally go to trial in the case later this year after Superior Court Judge Lia Martin recently rejected Jolie's latest motion to dismiss.

Sources claim that the legal battle at the winery will get complicated
As the case progresses, multiple sources have indicated that the situation for the former couple is likely to become even more complicated.
"It's already been ugly, but it's about to get even uglier because Angie wants to get back at Brad and will try to continue settling old personal scores," an insider told Daily Mail.
Another source criticized Jolie for mixing personal matters with the legal dispute instead of keeping it limited to business matters.
"This is a straightforward business dispute, but unfortunately, the other side has consistently introduced personal elements that have exposed weaknesses in their case and complicated and prolonged the proceedings." the source said.
