"It is with an incredible amount of gratitude that I have decided not to return as host of the # LiveFromE red carpet show," Cox began in her Instagram post, which included a series of memorable moments from years past. "I'm so incredibly proud of the work we've done during my three-year tenure. I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone at @nbcuniversal, @eentertainment and @denofthievestv for your incredible support."

About Laverne Cox's Comedy Series 'Clean Slate'

The Emmy-nominated actress is set to star in the upcoming Prime Video comedy series, "Clean Slate."

The series centers on Cox's character, Desiree Slate, who returns to her hometown of Mobile, Alabama, years after leaving for New York as a teenager.

Her goal is to reconnect with her father, Harry Slate (played by George Wallace), an outspoken car wash owner. However, after receiving an email from his estranged child, Harry expected a son to appear on his doorstep, not a daughter.
