Christina Aguilera kicks off the new year with a powerful reminder of self-worth amid ongoing Ozempic rumors.

On Tuesday, the Grammy-winning singer took to Instagram to share a video montage featuring clips of herself from last year, paired with a series of critical comments from netizens questioning her physical appearance and speculating about her possible use of Ozempic.

In the caption, Christina Aguilera delivered a clear message to her 10 million followers, noting that while judgment is inevitable, "nobody deserves an explanation."

Despite online criticism, Aguilera has learned to prioritize self-love and embrace self-confidence by being comfortable in her own skin.

“I'm doing something a little different this year,” she began. "This is a reminder to everyone that you are your own NARRATOR in your OWN LIFE. No one else can dictate who you are. No one deserves an explanation."

"I have evolved enough to know that nothing is easy and nobody is perfect," she continued. "Everyone is going to judge you. No matter what you do. And/or what you don't do. Acceptance comes with accepting yourself first. And the difficult journey it sometimes takes to get there."

The "Genie In A Bottle" artist has recently become the target of online criticism and body shaming following her body changes. Despite ongoing online debate and speculation about whether the "Beautiful" singer has been using medication, Aguilera has not directly addressed the rumors.

For context, Ozempic is a semaglutide injection originally approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. However, it has gained widespread attention for its off-label use as a weight-loss drug, along with similar drugs on the market.

The singer's fans immediately flooded the comments to praise Aguilera for standing up for herself.

Then I had people from the industry saying, 'They liked your body and how you were as a skinny teenager.'"

The "Beautiful" singer opened up in 2023 about the double standards she faced as a woman in the spotlight, following an intense analysis of her appearance and the natural aging process.

"There's a lot of stigma, a lot of old-school behavior and the ideal that women have to look a certain way and that it's shameful to age," Aguilera said. Allure in an interview published in March. "No matter what you do, you're going to have people who hate you."

"I've always been a pretty open book about accepting my body, my appearance," she explained. "To each his own, and I think we (should) all do what's right for us, so I don't believe in judgment when it comes to that."
