Wildenstein died on Tuesday, December 31, in Paris at the age of 84, his partner, Lloyd Kleinsaid.

After news of his death broke on Wednesday, Jan. 1, TMZ reported that Wildenstein filmed a reality project last year, citing production sources, though noting that the show has yet to be signed to a network.

According to the outlet, the show centers on Wildenstein's move from his home in Miami to Los Angeles and his efforts to relaunch Klein's fashion brand, Lloyd Klein Couture. The show is said to be a spinoff of an HBO docuseries that Wildenstein first mentioned in a June 2023 interview with UK The Sunday Times.

Wednesday, Klein said AFP The Swiss socialite died of a pulmonary embolism while staying at a luxury hotel in Paris. According to the Mayo Clinic, a pulmonary embolism is a blood clot that "blocks and stops blood flow" in an artery in the lungs.

An "icon gone," Klein told the outlet, adding that he is "grieving" over the loss of Wildenstein.
