An actor Armie Hammer he now proudly revels in his love of slavery.

The Call Me By Your Name star recently revisited the shocking allegations that halted his sought-after career nearly four years ago, clearing up some of the "disturbing" cannibalism rumors while giving an insight into how the controversial hunk really feels.

Speaking on the "Mother's House" podcast, the now 38-year-old entertainer expressed how collective boredom during the pandemic has led to a widespread mischaracterization of his sexual desires.

"The world seemed to be falling apart," he began, adding, "People were deeply dissatisfied with their lives. Then, this rotten story comes around where this actor wants to kill and eat people."

"All of a sudden," Hammer continued, "everyone's like, 'Oh, this is way more fun to focus on than the fact that I can't leave my living room.'"

As personal texts about his hiccups "came in and out" in the media, the Golden Globe-nominated performer soon realized how strange he sounded.

"As you're saying that, you're laughing to yourself, like, 'I'm going to fucking cut your toe off and keep it in my pocket so I have a piece of you wherever I go,'" Hammer remarked.

"Then it's read in the court of public opinion and everyone says, 'You're crazy.'"

In the continuation of the conversation, Hamer specified that his descriptions of certain cannibalistic acts were more directly related to the "owning" aspect of slavery.

"I love the idea that you're so completely mine," he revealed, per And! News.

"I can do whatever I want, and you love it because you know you're mine. (It's) this kind of possession, it's fun to talk about," the actor further explained, "especially if you're drunk or stoned or high at night and sending messages."

Hammer then contrasted his taboo desires with those that are more common, emphasizing their shared adult nature.

"If anyone were to take someone's bedroom conversations," he said, "especially if people were having a little sexier fun and take the shit they said — even if it was completely vanilla — and read it somewhere else out of context, everybody will say, 'You guys are fucking disgusting'."

When the scandal went viral, Hammer soon realized he was hiding behind his public persona—though he wasn't ready to let the alarm go.

"There was a mask that I didn't really identify with, but everyone thought it was me," he admitted, though being forced to remove it still sent him into "full panic mode."

“It became like my safety net and identity. When it breaks, everyone says, 'We don't like this guy anymore. We fucking hate him," said the performer.

Taking away such a personal aspect made Hammer feel more vulnerable than ever before.

“All of a sudden, you're just left standing naked in front of the world with all your tendencies or inclinations that the world is judging,” Hammer continued, before continuing, “There was definitely an aspect of your sexuality. armed against you. It's really hard for you to feel safe dealing with your own sexuality."

Despite how most have felt about Hammer since the reveal, the actor believes the journey he's taken to get to know himself since then has been somewhat worth it.

"There are aspects of my behavior that I think come from maybe not the healthiest place," he admitted.

"There were aspects of my behavior that were just expressions of my own sexuality. I had to comb through all of that and figure out what was coming from a real place and what was coming from a place of trauma."

Hammer, in fact, is mostly grateful that his contentious truth has come out.

"I think somewhere deep down, subconsciously," he declared, "I wanted to be caught."

In another indication of the path Hammer has taken since the controversy, he said in July that he is now okay with the rumors that caused his career to turn around.

"I was able to look at it with a sense of distance and perspective and be like, 'that's hilarious,'" he shared on "Painful Lessons" podcast.

"People called me a cannibal and everyone believed them. They say, 'Yeah, that guy ate people,'" Hammer joked.
