at the end of the day, Brandi Glanville prioritizes family above all else, especially during this holiday season.

The reality star remembered after critics raised eyebrows over her decision to spend the holiday with her children and ex-husband Eddie Cibrian.

Brandi Glanville and Eddie Cibrian finalized their divorce in 2010 after news broke that her ex-husband had an affair with a co-worker in 2008.

The Bravo legend explained on her "Brandi Glanville Unfiltered" podcast that despite their interesting history, she decided to spend the holidays with Cibrian and his wife LeAnn Rimes out of necessity.

She lashed out at her critics, who preferred a better arrangement that she chose to go where she feels loved for the holidays.

"What was I going to do? Stay here in my house, be lonely for Christmas, or go away with, like, my beloved children and in-laws, who I'm obsessed with and love?" said the TV star.

Glanville noticed that she prioritizes the well-being of her children over public opinion, respecting herself and her boundaries.

"Sometimes, I actually pat myself on the back and (say) like, 'Oh, my girl. You're doing this for your boys,'" the reality star revealed, as she admitted, "I have two separate holidays f — the kids are up."

Although Glanville admitted later on the podcast that hanging out with Cibrian and his wife for Christmas sounded weird, that didn't stop her from having a good time. She described their holiday time together as "lovely", adding:

“I can go in there and not give af— as long as everyone is happy and everyone is in one place and the children are happy and we are having a good time and the food is good."

The mum-of-two previously shared a family portrait of the team the day after Christmas, proof that she was really having fun with her dad and his wife.

"Merry Christmas is not my favorite facial expression," the model began, adding, "but I felt ALL the love from my modern family," Glanville wrote. She added"Thank you Eddie & @leannrimes @masoncibrian @jakecibrian & all friends & grandparents."

Glanville and Cibrian have come a long way since their messy divorce. The former couple were married from 2001 to 2009, after getting engaged on New Year's Eve in 1999.

US Weekly she noted that they welcomed Mason and Jake in 2003 and 2007, and Glanville hasn't stopped gushing about her sons and motherhood ever since.

Tragedy struck two years after Jake's arrival in 2009 when news broke that the actor was having an affair with Rimes, who co-starred in the movie "Northern Lights." A disgruntled Glanville filed for divorce 5 months later and ended the process in 2010.

The end of their marriage marked a new beginning for new couple Cibrian and Rimes, who went one step further with the actor who proposed in 2010 and tied the knot in April 2011 in Los Angeles.

In a 2011 interview, Glanville recalled slashing Cibrian's motorcycle tires when she first learned of his affair. She also accused Rimes of feeling no remorse for destroying her marriage.

Seven years later, in 2018, the Bravo star and Rimes finally resolved all their issues and decided to continue as one big happy family.

Before bonding with family for the holidays, Glanville spent plenty of time on social media, shifting blame for those involved in her facial deformity.

As he shared The Blast Earlier this month, the star urged fans to keep her in their prayers after posting a picture of herself with a badly swollen face on her Instagram story.

The reality star also released a statement explaining his physical condition on his X account. "What happened? I wish I knew I was in and out of the hospital last year and 1/2 spent almost every dollar I have trying to figure it out," the TV star began.

She discussed the various diagnoses that have been made for her worrying appearance, stating: "Some doctors say I have a parasite jumping around my face. Some say it's stress edema. Personally, I say Bravo."

The December announcement comes 5 months after she called out Bravo in July for causing her health problems. In her words: "Which makes me miserable and depressed. I won't even share a picture of it when it sinks in. The stress will kill you."

She urged her fans to take care of themselves and criticized Bravo for making it impossible for her to work because of her appearance.

The 52-year-old backed up her claims by promising to take legal action against Bravo and get justice for herself.

She revealed her intentions to file a lawsuit against the network in July for using her as his "fog" and causing her extreme emotional distress with his questionable actions.

Glanville is no stranger to suing those who have wronged her. She previously sued Andy Cohen, executive producer and talk show host.

The reality star noted that the stress she experienced on the show took a toll on her health, and she now suffers from "uncontrollable stress-induced angioedema" and a dire financial crisis.

"I haven't worked in a year and a half. I'm (too) depressed to do my podcast and (too) swollen (for) a cameo or OF. I'LL BE USED AS A FALL GUY," remarked the reality star. She also stated that she had enough valid evidence to fight the case, but her legal team advised against releasing it.

One thing is for sure - Brandi Glanville is special about her happiness!
