Jessica Simpson reignited ongoing divorce speculation on Friday when she was spotted without her wedding ring during a casual movie outing with her two oldest children in Calabasas, California.
The outing follows reports suggesting Jessica Simpson is feeling "heartbroken" over her alleged split from her husband, Eric Johnson.

For a day out, the 44-year-old singer and actress donned a striking orange coat with colorful detailing, paired with jeans and boots, according to photos obtained Page Six. Her daughter Maxwell, 12, walked beside her, dressed in a gray tracksuit and holding a pair of headphones.
Behind her was her son, Ace, wearing a red hoodie and blue shorts. Notably absent was Simpson's youngest daughter, five-year-old Birdie Mae.
Speculation about problems in the Simpsons' marriage has been swirling for weeks.

This is not the first time she has been spotted without her wedding ring
On Thursday, Jessica Simpson shared two new striking portraits on Instagram.
The Texas-born star looked radiant in the photos, although her wedding rings were noticeably absent, fueling ongoing speculation about the state of her marriage to Eric Johnson. The photos, shot by photographer Alex Berrger, were part of a campaign promoting Simpson's holiday fashion collection from her highly successful eponymous fashion brand.
In the photo, Jessica Simpson raises her left hand, drawing attention to the absence of her wedding rings from Eric Johnson, a detail that adds to the growing speculation surrounding their marriage.
The Duke of Hazzard star looked stunning in a halter black sleeveless evening gown as she posed elegantly on the staircase.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are reportedly trying to work things out
According to Us WeeklySimpson has been going through an "incredibly difficult time" as she and Eric reportedly explore their separation. "It wasn't an easy decision," the insider revealed, adding that the couple are currently "living separately." Another source said the two are "trying to work out a divorce without disrupting their children's lives as much as possible."
While Simpson and Johnson are reportedly still "figuring things out," their recent public appearances have added fuel to the speculation.

On the contrary, her younger sister, Ashlee Simpson, was asked about the divorce rumors last month. "Fans are speculating that Jessica might be getting a divorce because of her recent Instagram post. Do you know anything about it? Is it true?" they asked her, to which she simply said TMJ"No."
Eric Johnson also spotted without his wedding ring
In November, Johnson was also seen without his wedding ring, shortly after reports surfaced that the couple had stopped attending their children's school events together.
The rumors gained further traction after Simpson teased a potential musical comeback on Instagram last month, prompting questions about whether her new music could address her personal struggles.
Simpson and Johnson, a retired NFL player, married in July 2014 after dating for four years. They share three children together: Maxwell, Ace and Birdie Mae.
