Is Katt Williams Crediting Steph Curry's Hooping Skills?

Katt Williams is back on social media after resurfacing a video from a 2024 Vulture Festival podcast in November. In the clip, Katt says he told Steph Curry to start shooting deep 3-pointers before he entered the NBA.

"Anyone who knows me knows that I don't claim what I do. That's not part of doing it. It's all about doing it and letting it be. But I'm definitely responsible for the greatest shooter in the NBA!" Katt said in the podcast interview.

The 'Friday After Next' star dropped a 30-second story at Vulture Fest to back up her claim. Katt said he met Steph Curry before the NBA when he recruited him for a celebrity basketball game to benefit Children and Family Services in Los Angeles. He explained that he managed to get Curry on the team and was even given $5K to play. At the time, no one knew who Curry was, but once he stepped on the court, he started shooting from anywhere past half court to the 3-point line.

"Next year, next game he scores 50 points.' "Yeah, dude, you're here making $5,000 for a famous basketball game, but you're one of the greatest shooters ever. Do you understand that if you take your game to the NBA, they've got to change something or you're going to be the greatest shooter ever," Katt continued.

Katt continued, saying he told Curry he would be the "greatest shooter who ever lived" because he could shoot before defenders had time to react.

"Now I'm not going to say he took that advice and went on doing that, but he took my advice and went on doing it." Williams joked.

So far, Steph hasn't said anything about Katt's career.
