Netflix's sci-fi thriller takes the award-winning original to the next level

Thanks to Netflix original movies, Netflix can be the key to comics, but they are often not only cheap, but they are collected according to a soulless algorithm, but, sometimes, the stream throws a hidden gem in the audience. In 2019, platformA dystopian futuristic prison built vertically with hundreds of floors of food for the prisoners trapped inside is a Spanish sci-fi that has everyone in awe thanks to its imaginative premise and clever writing. Five years later of Stage 2 It started on the stream, and that was the only purpose. Just to remind you that the first movie was great.

333 steps of hell

Stage 2

Stage 2 It is housed in a self-governing center of the same height as the original, with the same food concept running from top to bottom, and inmates are randomly assigned to a different floor each month. As in the first film, there are factions among the prisoners, often violently divided between those who eat only what they need to survive and those who believe they can take what they want. It is an on-the-nose way of presenting the real world class struggle in A. Sci-fi environment, with all the chaos, stress, and well-intentioned, well-intentioned people you'd expect, and here's where I normally say "but with a twist." Except there's no twist.

At the center is Perempuan, who chose to join the Self-Government Center as an act of atonement. Stage 2She finds herself in the middle of a conflict between a group that believes in unity among the prisoners, but is somewhat complicated by the rise of a cult known as the Anointed, who commit horrific acts of brutality. While the first film relied mainly on strong dialogue and a sense of discovery as the audience learned more about a brutal dystopia, the second took a more visceral approach to delivering its message and the story suffered for it.

return journey

Stage 2

Much of the original film is echoed. Stage 2Although Goreng's descent into the prison yard could not be more dramatic and tense, to the point where he says, "It's the girl's message." Perempuan initiates an escape plan, but it ends with a revelation intended to shock and show just how evil and devious the operators behind the prison are, but we've seen this before. Since then I have never seen such a sequel Congestion 2; At least then the film admitted that they are doing the same thing again, but since then 22 Jump Street It brought out everything about the series, none of which was so obvious.

At the same time. Stage 2 It may not be as good as the first And it's nowhere near as good as the original, but the rampant violence and social commentary still make for a great viewing experience. Great science reflects modern society through the lens of the future, and unfortunately, stories of class struggle have been relevant since humans first developed permanent settlements. So, we've seen this story before, it's still worth telling, and fans of the original might enjoy the return trip, but for others, see platform first.

Stage 2 Now available on Netflix.
